Broken Play was the first book I've read from Samantha Kane and I hope to read more. This book is smokin' hot!! Whew boy. I enjoyed the build up of characters and story line before sex was part of the equation. Samantha allows the reader to get to know and enjoy the characters so when it does happen, the chemistry is off the charts! It's also a very sweet story.
Marian has had a troubled past that causes her fear at times. Cass and Beau are NFL football players that should have her running for the hills but she finds herself drawn to them. As a reader I was pulled into their world and their interactions and emotions felt realistic and believable. One scene was a little over the top, but I understood where it came from. Otherwise the story line made sense, progressed well and was enjoyable. I loved the characters and the Rebels team. I just wished we got to see what happened for them in a game or two! I will be reading the next books in the series.
