J.S. Scott- The Forbidden Billionaire

I have been waiting on Jared's story; I just love those Sinclair billionaires!  I love how in J.S. Scott books the hero/heroine meet, their journey and of course a HEA is expected but Ms. Scott sure knows how to draw the reader in and get them to like those grumpy Sinclairs! As with the other books in this series, we see glimpses of the other couples we've already met. 

In this book, we first meet a man who is having a rough time. He calls himself a killer... Then we fast forward to the present and meet Mara. She's upset by something and that catches Jared's attention and he didn't want to care, but he did. He was attracted to her immediately and was drawn to her.  Mara is a local Amesport resident and her family has lived there for years. She's a doll maker.

Jared on the other hand is currently living in his home on the peninsula and is only there for a short time- until his brother's wedding. Mara quickly changed his outlook on leaving Amesport. He never believed in love, but there's just something about Mara...

Jared and Mara started spending time together and they quickly fell into a rhythm; there is a tragic event that propels the relationship forward quicker than it would have otherwise. Jared realizes how much he likes her and Mara is attracted to him and sees he's much more than his good looks. Despite their different upbringings, they are perfect for each other and their relationship was fun to watch unfold. Mara has fought for everything she's achieved in life and Jared has always been wealthy.  As their relationship develops, Jared wants to be able to give Mara what she needs/wants and Mara wants to be there for Jared and realizes all he has suffered from his past.  The overall story is sweet, sexy and I didn't want to put the book down. Another enjoyable read from J. S. Scott!  And I'm REALLY looking forward to Jared's brother, Evan's story next in The Billionaires Touch.
