Jessica Lemmon - Good Twin Gone Country review

Oh this book was so cute and fun to get lost in! Gavin is the bad boy, the brother with the reputation. Hallie is the overlooked sister and doesn't take chances. Until now. She feels safe with Gavin and wants him to show her how to have fun. I liked how she let him lead her and he never pressured her to do anything she didn't want to do. Soon, she was able to just be herself around him. And oh the chemistry between them! *fans self* Gavin saw her for who she was, and not her sister. She was given more than she ever thought she would all because she was willing to break a few rules! I can't recommend this book enough!

J.R. Ward - Claimed review

Wow! A FANTASTIC start to a new series. I couldn't read this book fast enough, but I also didn't want this book to end. I was completely caught up in Lydia's story. This book is part mystery, part danger and part BDB. And I was HERE. FOR. IT. Lydia worked with wolves, trying to protect them. The reader could feel her love and compassion for them. But strange things were going on around her. She found herself with 2 people she could trust, Candy and Daniel. I enjoyed the budding relationship between Lydia and Daniel. The tension between them could be cut with a knife. I enjoyed meeting these new characters and getting the lay of the land, if you will. I also liked how this story ran parallel to things happening with the BDB. But I wasn't expecting this ending! *Insert open mouth* I can't recommend this book enough! It's amazing and I need the next book ASAP!

A heart-pounding new series set in the Black Dagger Brotherhood world, about a scientist fighting to save the gray wolves—and getting caught in a deadly trap herself...

Lydia Susi is passionate about protecting wolves in their natural habitat. When a hotel chain develops a tract of land next to the preserve, Lydia is one of the most vocal opponents of the project—and becomes a target.

One night, a shadowy figure threatens Lydia’s life in the forest, and a new hire at the Wolf Study Project comes from out of nowhere to save her. Daniel Joseph is both mysterious, and someone she intrinsically wants to trust. But is he hiding something?

As the stakes get higher, and one of Lydia’s colleagues is murdered, she must decide how far she will go to protect the wolves. Then a shocking revelation about Daniel challenges Lydia’s reality in ways she could never have predicted. Some fates demand courage, while others require even more, with no guarantees. Is she destined to have true love...or will a soul-shattering loss ruin her forever?

Lexi Blake - Bayou Beauty review

Anyone else love a good marriage of convenience?! I do, especially from Lexi! I was excited to get back to the bayou where Sylvie has left D.C. and is the mayor. She's making a life for herself in a place she loves. Rene and his family have been a big part of Papillon. He's always loved Sylvie and when an opportunity arises to make her his, he jumps on the chance. I loved Rene and Sylvie's chemistry. They understood each other and had respect for each other. I liked how they had each other's backs. Their families supported them (well, the family that mattered) and it was hard to deny that chemistry they had. I couldn't read this book fast enough! Very enjoyable read and I definitely recommend!

Love returns to Louisiana's Butterfly Bayou in a new small-town contemporary romance sure to charm hearts, from New York Times bestselling author Lexi Blake.

Sylvie Martine was prepared to take Washington D.C. by storm, but she put that dream on hold when her beloved hometown of Papillon, Louisiana, needed her most. Now Sylvie's the mayor of the tiny town on the bayou that holds her heart. But for Sylvie, this can only be a pit stop on the way to bigger and better things. The last thing she needs is an old love to resurface and threaten her goals.

Rene Darois’s whole life has been about serving his family—no matter how much it hurts. He’s used to sacrificing for his large extended family and the company his grandfather created. But he can’t believe the latest demand: he needs to find a wife and quick or he could lose it all. It would be a horrible situation. But he has just the solution: his high school sweetheart. Sylvie is everything he wants in a wife—smart, funny, and caring—and he planned to woo her anyway.

Now he just has to convince Sylvie that their love is worth it all, or he and the bayou will lose her forever.

Kendall Ryan - The Rookie review

A new, sexy standalone from New York Times bestseller, Kendall Ryan.

He has everything a man could want. A lucrative hockey contract. Adoring fans. A family who loves him.

But he’s about to throw it all away. Logan Tate’s name is dominating the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Instead of goals and assists, the talented young defenseman has been racking up fights and suspensions.

I work with athletes who are struggling, but Logan’s different. He’s not just going to blow his season, but his entire career. And now he can’t return to the ice until he deals with his issues, but the stubborn man won’t let anyone get close enough to help.

Which is why I packed up and followed him to his family’s property in the remote mountains of Colorado. He can’t avoid me here.

The only problem?
I can’t avoid him either. He’s chopping wood and building fires, rescuing my car from snowy ditches, and inviting me to Sunday dinners with his loud extended family. He’s a whole lot of man, but beneath all those hard edges is an unexpected tenderness.

Tempted or not, I have to stay out of his bed and get him back to the ice . . . no matter how difficult that might be.

This is a sizzling new romance in the Looking to Score series. Each book can be read as a standalone.

My Review

I just adored this book!! I couldn't put it down and I was completely wrapped up in Logan and Summer's journey. Summer had a job to do and she expected to get in, get out, get done. But as we all know, life doesn't work like we plan. She finds herself stuck in Colorado and drawn in by the Tates. Heck, I was drawn in by them. I ADORED Logan's family and loved how they embraced Summer. Sure, she had a job to do, but they didn't treat her any less and in fact, Logan's mom encouraged things. I found myself swooning and laughing and lost in ALL. THE. FEELS. I loved the sweetness to their story and how Summer wanted to help Logan. This was a fun story to get lost in and I can't recommend it enough! Be sure to grab your copy today!

Willa Nash - The Brazen review

The Brazen by Willa Nash is now live!

Kerrigan Hale's personal life is about as exciting as a bucket of tar. With hard work and hustle as her steadfast companions, who needs romance or adventure? Her empire in Calamity, Montana, isn't going to build itself.
For years, her mentor--and investor--helped make her dreams come true. Until his unexpected death put her fate in his grandson's hands. A brazen billionaire, he seems intent on ruining Kerrigan's life.

But if Pierce Sullivan thinks she'll go down without a fight, he's sorely mistaken. Pushed to the extreme, she drives to his ritzy mountain lodge to force the arrogant You Can Call Me Mr. Sullivan to hear her out.

No sooner does she arrive than a snowstorm traps her with Pierce. Stranded together for days, she's in for the battle of her life. Pierce is nearly irresistible by candlelight. Without his suits and fancy cars, he's almost human.

Except only a fool would let down her guard. And Kerrigan can't risk her future. Not when she doesn't know if he's out to pilfer her dreams . . . or to steal her heart.

My Review

I loooooooved this book! I was excited to get Kerrigan's story and it did not disappoint! I loved how this book quickly drew me in to Kerrigan's plight and didn't let me go, even after The End. Pierce had preconceived notions about Kerrigan. Kerrigan had done nothing wrong and her friend and mentor was gone. The rug had been swept out from under her but she was determined to get back up. I liked her sassiness and she was a strong woman. She wasn't about to let Pierce get the best of her. I enjoyed the push/pull between these two. I liked the way they were thrown together and bit-by-bit, the walls came down. This book held me captivated and gave me ALL THE FEELS! I adored their story and can't recommend this book enough!

Laurelin Paige & Kayti McGee - Winter Bloom review

Another installment of this fun series and I was here for it! I was laughing out loud during this book. I enjoyed the way Logan and Chloe met up! I liked their chemistry and how normal this guy was. FINALLY! Chloe has had some interesting characters but Logan seems like a unicorn. I enjoyed his family, the way he treated Chloe and she could be herself with him. And I definitely did not see this ending coming! WHEW! What a ride! Go grab this book for yourself!

They say winter is coming... and thanks to Logan, I am too.

If the past year has taught me anything, it's that I am an idiot. Between The Incident, the upcoming nuptials, and finding a new place to live, I'm about ready to find a cave to hibernate in. Nearly murdering the lead singer of my favorite local band really should have been on everyone's bingo card.

Their drummer going from medic to love interest was a plot twist I didn't expect.

Logan has all the things I've been looking for--the newness of spring, heat of summer, comfort of fall, and the distraction I'd like. It may not be the traditional third date, but I'm bringing him to my best friend's wedding anyway.

Charlotte's not the only one who can lock a good time down.

Episode four of six in the laugh-out-loud Dating Season series.

J. Kenner - Royal Cocktail review

What a fun read! I liked going back to The Fix (it's ok if you haven't read Man of the Month series, but I recommend it!) and the Austin area for this read. Skye has to live her life more carefully than most because of her accident. She doesn't like attention on herself or her speech impairment. She is a hard worker and a good employee. While she has a daunting task ahead of her, she realizes she can use a little help. I liked how this book dips into the past to show how things started between Skye and Leo. I liked the chemistry between them and how well they work together. I enjoyed the way he brought her a little more out of her shell. This was a delightful read and I didn't want to put this book down!

Sparks fly between a playboy prince and an idealistic lawyer, but when the demands of the throne call, can they get a fairy tale ending?

Prince Leopold of Avelle-am-see is destined to rule his small European country. But he doesn’t want to. His entire life, Leopold has rebelled against the inevitable, gaining a reputation in Europe as a bad boy royal with a chip on his shoulder.

Skye Porter jams on researching complex legal issues, but with her lifelong speech impairment, she’s happy to pass the briefs off to another lawyer to argue. Just the idea of being in the spotlight makes her cringe. Two years ago, she dodged a bullet when her intense college fling with charismatic Leo ended when the bastard ghosted her. At the time, she’d had no idea he was a prince, or she never would have fallen so hard.

Now Leo is back, and the chemistry between them sparks just as hot. With his promise of secrecy, Skye surrenders to one more wild night. But when the press finds them together, Skye is tossed into a nightmare of tabloid photos, graphic memes, and a life in the public eye.

Can a reluctant royal and the girl next door find their happily ever after?

Erika Kelly - You're Still the One review

WOW! WOW! WOW!  Welcome to all the feels! I ADORED Stella and Griffin's story. They had quite the past. The feelings between them and the chemistry had always been intense. And time didn't diminish that either. Stella loved hard and she was quick to protect those around her; even from herself. But she also grew up and learned things about herself. She grew more confident in who she was and her talents. I liked that she was a strong woman, but yet she was worried about her family. Yes, they had things to work on, but they were still family. And Griffin!... Mercy! Griffin was a good man! He had a good career and he was looking out for his buddy's son. Austin had maternal grandparents but they didn't want what was best for Austin and Griffin did. The struggle was real. And those grandparents were a doozy! But when Stella learned about said grandparents, she was there for Griffin. And while things took a turn neither one of them were expecting, Austin was still the one they were looking out for. I was completely lost in this book and didn't want to put it down. I FELT everything and I can't tell you how much I loved it. My words aren't good enough, but if you love a book you can get lost in and get hit with all the feels, then be sure not to let this book pass you by!

✔️ Hot, inked, motorcycle-riding hero
✔️ Sexy wedding planner with a whole lot of explaining to do
✔️Steamy, small town romance
✔️Second chance romance
✔️And lots and lots of make-up sex

When Stella Cavanaugh gets the chance to come home after a seven-year, self-imposed exile, she takes it. She was born to be a wedding planner, and she hopes creating her sister's wedding might just earn her the redemption she's been hoping for.

The only thing holding her back is the fear of running into Griffin James, the love of her life. Because she not only hurt her family, she destroyed their relationship. Burned it right to the ground. And she just doesn't know if she can bear to find out he's moved on. She sure hasn't.

Griffin James has a roommate. The fourteen-year-old's staying with him while his dad's on deployment. Sounds simple, but the boy's grandparents are looking for any excuse to pull him out of the clutches of the big, tattooed owner of a bike shop. If Griffin can just stay under their radar, everything should be fine.

But that's just not possible when Stella bursts into their lives. Her sparkly spirit, her big, splashy ideas, and her impulsiveness always lead to disaster. He knew that...but he couldn't resist her.

And now she's on the run again, because...

The very things they love about each other are also what tear them apart.

Catherine Bybee - A Thin Disguise review

Oh my goodness! I couldn't put this book down! I
LOVED it! I was really excited to get Olivia's story. As a Richter kid, she hasn't had an easy life, for many reasons. But she's trying to protect an innocent. While on the job, things don't go exactly as planned. Olivia doesn't know who she is or what secrets her past holds. I enjoyed the chemistry between Olivia and Leo! I also liked how strong Olivia is. She's not a weakling. And Leo doesn't try to change her. He wants to be there for her and help her, but not hold her back. I thought they were a dynamic duo and worked well together! I appreciated the danger/mystery around her and how they were racing the clock to find out what was really happening. I couldn't read this book fast enough and I definitely recommend the first book in this series before reading this one. You can also read my review of Changing the Rules.

A former gun for hire and a federal agent find themselves on the right side of love but the wrong end of a bullet in this Richter installment from New York Times bestselling author Catherine Bybee.

On a fateful night in Las Vegas, FBI agent Leo Grant is working on a critical detail in a high-profile child prostitution trial when a beautiful woman jumps into the path of a bullet meant for him. Little does Leo know that the woman is Olivia, an ex-assassin who is seeking redemption one good deed at a time.

One minute, Olivia is lunging in front of Leo on the Vegas Strip. The next, she’s waking up in the hospital in a haze of pain with no memory of her past, her enemies, or even her own name.

With Olivia suffering from memory loss and completely unaware of the danger she is in, it’s up to Leo and Neil MacBain’s team of operatives to keep her safe. With Olivia and Leo both unaware of her past crimes, the two have little reason to avoid their growing attraction. Slowly her past seeps in through the cracks as she struggles to find the answers of who she is. When the veil is lifted and her dark past is staring her down, Olivia must turn her back on Leo and the love she can never allow herself to have, and race to find her would-be killer.

Maya Hughes - The Sweetest Thing review

What a deliciously fun, sweet read! I found myself laughing out loud at times and completely swooning. I really enjoyed the banter between Sabrina and Hunter. She was his surprise roommate and he was hotter than she expected. But she's not looking to date. She was driven and a hard worker. She knew her current situation was temporary and while Hunter wasn't pleasant, she could handle him for a short term. Their story was cute and I loved how Sabrina didn't elaborate what her job was with Hunter. Made for an interesting conversation. LOL I think you'll also get lost in the feels and the pace of this story. Her friend Cat was a trip and she had good friends surrounding her. I couldn't read this book fast enough!

🍭 ABOUT 🍭

Goldilocks has gotten a bit off track. I found her in my room, my bathroom and my bathtub to be precise.

Sabrina Mason is my new roommate. My new unwelcome roommate. Babysitting my Grandma's apartment means Sabrina's here to stay. But we'd agreed my room was off limits.

It’s bad enough my nightmares are getting worse, but having her around makes holding it together a little easier. Her smell, smart mouth and sexy a--anyway. I can’t let her get under my skin although it might be too late. In her sloppy bun and pajamas curled up on the couch, she’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. But a relationship isn’t what I need right now.

It’s hard to remember that when she’s glowering at me when I’m being an ass. We’re forced to live together for only a few more months, I can hold out until I can’t.

She’s in my bathtub and she’s not telling me to leave. So I ask the question, “do you want me to go?”

And I’m shocked as hell when her answer isn’t ‘yes’.

A little bit of steamy standalone grumpy roommate romance bliss. The laughs and feels are all here in this forced proximity, enemies to lovers story featuring the best in found family, a hero standing up for the woman he's falling for and a happily ever after.

🍭 EXCERPT 🍭

He set his blazer down on the counter and slipped off his cuff links. “You don’t need to hop out.”

Goose bumps rose on my whole body, tightening my flesh even in the warm bath. “I don’t?”

“Only if you want to.” He stared at me, and there was a flicker in his eyes like he’d made a decision.

My stomach flipped, straight into a back handspring. “I don’t?”

The corner of his lips lifted. “Was that a question?” He rolled his sleeve from the cuff, folding the pressed white fabric higher up his arm, exposing the tanned and sinewy forearms. Veins, tendons, muscle.

“No. I just got in, but I wasn’t expecting an audience.” Had the heat kicked on? Because my skin not submerged in the water didn’t feel the slightest bit chilled. It felt closer to super-heated as his gaze swept over me.

“You’re driving me absolutely crazy.”

Standing beside the tub, towering over me, he could see my body beneath the water.

A shiver skated along my skin.

“In a good way?” My body was on high alert, vibrating in a wanton way where the water teased and taunted body parts like I wanted his fingers to.

“In the worst way.” He finished with his second sleeve, never taking his eyes off me. Eyes blazing with a carnal passion that sent shock waves through me. “Do you want me to leave?”
