Roni Loren - The One For You review

This is my last review of 2019. And what a powerful story to end with!

I was excited to get Kincaid's story! This is an emotional and powerful series and I can't get enough! Kincaid was known for her rash decisions and this time, it has quite the impact! I enjoyed this girl's spunkiness! She was a survivor and was determined not to let the situation hold her down. She loved fiercely and fully. Ashton wasn't prepared to let past collide with the present. However, circumstances had him returning to his hometown. I liked the flow of this story and was very quickly lost in their journey. I FELT what these characters were going through. Roni brought them to life and I wanted to be friends with them! Hello, book hangover! I have enjoyed this series and I loved Kincaid's story. I can't recommend it enough! If you haven't started this series yet, go do it now! It won't disappoint!

"Extraordinary."—Kirkus STARRED Review for The One You Can't Forget

Now fate has brought him back to town, and Ash doesn't know how to cope with his feelings for Kincaid and his grief over their lost friendship. Kristen Proby - Shadows: A Bayou Magic Novel review

This story was totally different from what I normally read. I was very quickly lost in Brielle, her sisters and Cash's story. It was eerie and I was totally here for it! Being an FBI profiler, Cash had seen some things in his time so it was a relief to Brielle that she and her sisters didn't scare him off. They had a unique gift and it wasn't always a blessing. But they had each others backs and were there for each other when needed. And boy! Was it needed! This story sucked me in and I kept gasping as new things were unveiled. It kept me on the edge of my seat and since I listened to the audio book, the narrators really brought this story to life. I could feel the evil lurking and I wanted Brielle to find out what was really going on! If you are willing to take a walk on the paranormal side, read this book! Looking forward to the next book in this series!

From New York Times Bestselling Author, Kristen Proby, comes an all new paranormal romance set in the mystical city of New Orleans…

I am never alone. Not even when I am alone.
I see the unquiet dead, the souls that wander through the French Quarter.
They can’t move on, and I can’t stop seeing them.
I wear malachite for protection, and I control what I let in. It’s the only way to stay sane. Everything changes the day Cassian Winslow joins my ghost walking tour and knocks my world off its axis with green eyes the color of the stone around my neck.
An unspeakable evil is loose in New Orleans, taking young women and leaving a bloodbath in his wake. More shadows lurking for me. More unhappy dead. There might be a way to stop it.
Open myself up to Cassian.
If I do, it could spell his death.
But if I don’t, it’s mine.

K.G. Fletcher - A Sun So Bright review

Ooh, this book had ALL THE FEELS! I was very quickly lost in Fiona and Chris's story. While this is the 3rd book in the series, you could read it without the other 2, but it would make more sense if you'd read the previous ones. Fiona has had things handed to her in life. The chemistry between Chris and Fiona was palpable through the pages! That's one thing they had in spades. Fiona isn't used to being alone and she enjoys Chris's company. After her proposition and they begin spending time together, the lines started to blur. I liked the interactions between them and how easy things were. I liked the realness to them. Their story was sweet and I didn't want it to end! Be sure to grab your copy today!

A billionaire heiress walks into a bar…

When Fiona Merrill finds herself without a date on New Year’s Eve, the frustrated New York socialite takes matters into her own hands. After way too many glasses of champagne, she propositions the familiar bartender with an offer he can’t refuse. But the handsome, Brooklyn-born drink-slinger turns out to be a lot more than she bargained for.

Chris Ballard lives with his mother, biding his time until he can save enough money to completely renovate his crumbling farmhouse in upstate New York. An opportunity for some quick cash is a no-brainer, and with the amount of money Fiona offers him, he is eager to agree to her scheme.

In a world of have and have nots, posing as the next Manhattan power couple is the easy part. Things become challenging when Chris dares Fiona to go deeper than what her pampered life style offers. Is it possible for the heiress to change her ways and discover a bigger purpose? Or will the poor little rich girl continue her selfish ways with only her money to keep her warm?

Tarryn Fisher - The Wives review

I have mixed feelings about this book. I liked it in the beginning because I was curious about these women. I liked how we got glimpses into what was happening between Seth and Thursday. Thursday decided she wanted to know more about her husband and began diving into what was really going on. I was intrigued until I got closer to the end. Then I felt like things fell apart. It felt rushed and completely unbelievable. I didn't love this book or hate it. I was more disappointed about it.

Imagine that your husband has two other wives.

You’ve never met the other wives. None of you know each other, and because of this unconventional arrangement, you can see your husband only one day a week. But you love him so much you don’t care. Or at least that’s what you’ve told yourself.

But one day, while you’re doing laundry, you find a scrap of paper in his pocket—an appointment reminder for a woman named Hannah, and you just know it’s another of the wives.

You thought you were fine with your arrangement, but you can’t help yourself: you track her down, and, under false pretenses, you strike up a friendship. Hannah has no idea who you really are. Then Hannah starts showing up to your coffee dates with telltale bruises, and you realize she’s being abused by her husband. Who, of course, is also your husband. But you’ve never known him to be violent, ever.

Who exactly is your husband, and how far would you go to find the truth? Would you risk your own life?

And who is his mysterious third wife?

Add to your Goodreads TBR:
I really enjoyed how these narrators brought Scarlett and Gabriel to life! I was very quickly captured by these characters and I enjoyed the push/pull between them. Now, I know this was the 2nd book in the series, but Meghan STILL surprised me with the ending of this book. I definitely didn't see THAT coming! *gasps* I love the fact that this book sucked me in and I was totally engrossed in what was going on between Scarlett and Gabriel. I enjoyed the way this story unfolded and the way Scar and Gabe's journey evolved. I liked the banter and the heat between them! I liked the support system Scarlett had and I liked how strong she was. Gabriel was able to show her exactly what she needed and his actions supported his words. I wanted things to work out okay and I wanted Scarlett to get through to Gabriel. Gah! I can't wait for the final book in this trilogy!

Kayley Loring - Sleeper review

🔥🔥 HOT NEW RELEASE 🔥🔥
Sleeper by Kayley Loring is LIVE!! Stop what you’re doing and #OneClick today!!

BLURB
SHANE MILLER SLEEP DIARY:
Went to bed at: Late.
How long it took to fall asleep: Forever. I have insomnia. Duh.
Number of caffeinated beverages you had consumed: Zero. Thanks for advising me to quit!

My stress level is off the charts.
I can’t sleep right on a normal day, and lately my days are filled with the best kind of chaos.
My ex-wife and husband number two are filming in Poland for three months, so I’m turning down movie parts to focus on the most important role of my life— impossibly charming and somewhat capable young single dad.
My son won’t stop asking questions.
My daughter won’t brush her teeth unless I sing her showtunes.
Our regular nanny quit.
The only person I could trust to hire as a temp nanny is my best friend’s sister.

If Mary Poppins and Bill Murray had a baby it would be Willa.
Fresh out of grad school and beautifully weird.
She hates my movies, and my kids adore her.
I couldn’t sleep last night because she wasn’t here.
Turns out I can’t sleep unless she’s in my house now.
Turns out she’s what’s been missing from my life all along.
If my friend had any idea what I want to do to his gorgeous troublemaker of a sister, he would smother me with a pillow.

The chances of us succeeding as a couple are about as good as that little indie movie that I made being a huge hit.
But it’s a chance I’m going to take.

My Review

I was very intrigued by this book! This is my first from Kayley and far from my last! I enjoyed the banter between Willa and Shane. The chemistry between them was palpable and the slow burn was hot! The characters and their relationships felt realistic and I was very quickly lost in their story. I liked the unique jobs Willa was doing. I was intrigued by her perfume making. I enjoyed the kids she was taking care of. The story felt believable and I didn't want the story to be over! If you like fun banter, sexy times and a sweet story, then this is one you don't want to miss. Grab your copy today!

S. Doyle - My Super Sexy Spy review

Ooh! This was such a fun read! Beth and Liam had an interesting meet cute. Beth is stuck in a rut. Life throws her a unique curveball and she decides to go for it. She gets out of her comfort zone and she makes some new friends. What she thinks she knows, she discovers she really didn’t. Her eyes are opened, she took chances and met an attractive guy. I adored their banter, their chemistry and I was lost in this fast paced story! I enjoyed the action and bit of danger that was surrounding Beth. Unexpected things happened and it was endearing. I couldn't put this book down.

A fun fast-paced standalone romantic comedy from the author of The Bride series!

See the world. Go to Italy. Have an affair with a sexy stranger. Get out of the rut my life has become.

Done. Done. And done.

Except I slept with the wrong sexy stranger who turns out wasn’t the easy going sports writer I thought he was. Instead he’s a spy. A spy who is after me!

Then the father I’ve never met turns up and he’s a nuclear scientist. What the fork? Throw a kidnapping Russian into the mix and my once dull life is now chaos.

And to make it that much worse…I fell in love during the whole mess!

Which makes my new boyfriend the bad guy. Or the good guy. I’m not really sure.

One thing I know for certain… I can’t totally trust him.

Kelly Elliott - Never Enough review

I was excited to dive into a new series from Kelly! Brock hasn't healed from his past. He survives and does what he needs to do to ensure his son is never without. When his brother helps arrange for the sale of his former house, he's not expecting the woman who buys it. Lincoln is in need of a fresh start. She wants to get out from under her dad's thumb and do a job she loves. Montana offers what Atlanta can't, and so much more! I adored Brock's family and the way they cared for Lincoln and Kaylee, her best friend. However, Brock isn't so thrilled. I was completely lost in this story and I didn't want to leave it! I enjoyed reading about this bull rider and felt like I was there with him on his rides. My heart felt all the emotions in this book and I couldn't read it fast enough. This was a great start to the series and I look forward to future books!

From the New York Times bestselling author of the Cowboys and Angels series comes an intricate romance that asks the question, Can love heal the pain of the past?

Longing to forget the pain of his wife’s death, Brock Shaw has immersed himself in the one thing that lets him escape the guilt. Bull riding. But life on the road means leaving his young son at home with his parents. They want him to give up his career and be a father to his child, but Brock needs the adrenaline to get through each day…or so he thinks.

Lincoln Pratt needs a fresh start. As a top interior designer in Atlanta, she has everything she could ever want, but she’s always at her father’s mercy. Something’s missing, and Lincoln knows she’ll only find it somewhere far away—like the rolling pastures of Hamilton, Montana, where she meets the irresistibly mysterious Brock.

In Brock Shaw, Lincoln sees the part of her that’s missing. In Lincoln Pratt, Brock sees the part of himself he thought he’d lost. But the pain of his past binds him. Can he let himself love again?

It was never a question of love.
I knew I loved Elias Lancaster and that he loved me.
At least I always thought he did.
But for some reason, he always found an excuse not to be with me.
The pain I felt as my childhood love rejected me, again and again, after promising me the world when we were kids…
Well, it just wouldn’t go away.
No matter how hard I tried.
Desperate times called for desperate measures, and I never wanted to be considered desperate, but I knew if something didn’t change soon, I’d lose Elias for good and die of a broken heart.
