I was excited to go back to Chris's world! This time, we meet Thomas. The listener got a glimpse of him in Zach’s story. His life is going off the rails and not where he ever saw it going. He’s fighting for his marriage, for the woman he loves. I really enjoyed Thomas’s story. He’s thoughtful, realizes what he has and wants to make things work. I could have listened to this story all day. I hated when it was over! I love how Chris really brings these characters to life and I’m looking forward to Grayson’s story next!

This book was made to be listened to, so that's what I did! And it was a joy to hear! We meet Zach and this story was his journey to his girl. It's written in journal format and it's his way to tell his woman how he feels. He wants to someday share his thoughts and feelings with her. Some entries are short, while others have more meat to them. I enjoyed the ups and the downs to their relationship. It felt realistic. I laughed out loud in parts and my heart went out to Zach in others. I thought this was a unique way to tell a story and I enjoyed getting lost in this audiobook! I just wish we knew her name!

It’s raining as my husband’s casket is lowered into the hole in the ground. Raining hard, as if the sky itself is about to rip in half like my heart has. I stand motionless under an umbrella with the other mourners, listening to the priest drone on about resurrection and glory, blessings and suffering, redemption and the holy love of God. So many words, and all so meaningless. Everything is meaningless. There’s a Michael-shaped hole in my chest, and nothing matters anymore. That must be why I feel so numb. I’m empty. Grief has blown me apart, scattering my bones into a desert wasteland where they’ll bake in silence under a merciless sun for a thousand years. A woman behind me quietly weeps into her handkerchief. Sharon? Karen? A colleague of Michael’s who I met at a long-ago faculty party. It’s as if my brain is blanketed in thick clouds. I kick off my shoes and leave them under the console table in the foyer. Tossing my wool coat onto the back of a kitchen chair, I head to the fridge. I open the door and stand looking inside as rain drums against the windowpanes and I try to convince myself I’m hungry. I’m not. I know I should eat to keep my strength up, but I have no appetite for anything. I let the door swing shut and press my fingers against my throbbing temples. When I turn around, I notice the envelope on the table next to the fruit bowl. It sits by itself, a white rectangle with neat handwriting and a stamp that reads “LOVE” in red letters. I know for a fact it wasn’t there when I left. My first thought is that Fiona must’ve brought in the mail. Then I remember she cleans the house on Mondays. Today’s Sunday. So how did it get there? As I cross to the table and pick up the letter, a rumble of thunder rattles the windows. A sudden gust of wind whistles through the trees outside. The eerie feeling intensifies when I read the return address. Washington State Penitentiary. Frowning, I tear open the edge of the envelope and pull out the single sheet of white unlined paper inside. I unfold it and read aloud. “I’ll wait forever if I have to.” That’s it. There’s nothing else, except a signature scratched below the words. Dante. I flip the page over, but it’s blank on the other side. For a fleeting moment, I think the letter must be intended for Michael. That idea gets tossed aside when I realize it’s addressed to me. That’s my name right there on the front of the envelope, printed in neat block letters with blue pen. This Dante person, whoever he is, meant for me to receive this. But why? And what is he waiting for? Unsettled, I fold the letter into thirds, stuff it back into the envelope, and drop it on the table. Then I make sure all the doors and windows are locked. I draw the drapes and blinds against the wet gray afternoon, pour myself a glass of wine, then sit at the kitchen table, staring at the envelope with a strange feeling of foreboding. A feeling that something’s coming. And that whatever it is, it isn’t good.

WOWWWWWWWW! Slow clap... this book was FREAKING FANTASTIC! I read this one in one sitting. I couldn't put it down. It was captivating, intriguing and mind blowing! I really don't want to give this book away but I will say the sex is hot, the emotions are powerful and this book will take you on a ride! The chemistry between Kayla and Aiden is strong and mighty! I loved the flow of this book and the way things turned. My jaw dropped when I got to The End. I can't recommend this book enough! And this one is a little darker and isn't a conventional romance. If you like more sweet books, then skip this one. If you like to take a walk on the wild side, GET THIS BOOK! :)

My ReviewOk, I'm late to the Magnolia Sound party, but I'm glad I got a chance to read this book (and I'll go back and start at the beginning). I didn't feel lost and I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Savannah and Cash are back in Cash's hometown. She's helping him plan for his goodbyes and is there for him, as he's been for her. There's a lot of hurt and anger in his past but his loved ones are able to hash things out with him and get the time to say what's needed. Doesn't hurt that Savannah meets a good guy along the way! Cash is there to remind her not to run. This book brought ALL. THE. FEELS. and I truly didn't want to put it down. The romance was sweet and perfect for Savannah. Jackson and his brothers are a good group of men and I enjoyed seeing them mend things and come together as a family. The Colemans are good about enveloping those around them with love and support. I enjoyed the comradery the brothers had, as well as the rest of the extended family. I felt like part of their group. I didn't want this book to be over! Well done, Samantha Chase!

Ooh yes! I love a good J. Kenner novella! I'm greedy and I'll read whatever she brings us readers. Francesca leads a very measured life. And she's the one in control. Until now. There is a threat to her world and the Stark Security team is going to figure out who it is. And while Simon doesn't normally do movie stars, something about Francesca calls to him. He knows he's the best to protect her. I love a good frenemies story! That mutual hate can be oh so delicious! :) Once they put things aside, they start a real friendship. Things quickly morph into more. There's an understanding between them and things heat up very nicely! Simon is a true protector and Francesca sees that. I liked their growing relationship and the search was on for the threat. This book held my attention and I didn't want to put it down! I recommend this fantastic read from J. Kenner!

Holy slow burn, Batman! You could cut the tension between Lilly and Keller. I found myself laughing out loud while reading this book and other times, smiling like a crazy loon. This book was so darn cute! I couldn't put it down. I loved the royal aspect of it and how chivalrous Keller was. And this new part of her life brought Lilly closer to her mom. I thought it was sweet and endearing. This book brought ALL THE FEELS! I enjoyed the family aspect and how Lilly and Keller had that in common. Their loyalty was strong and the pull between them was great. This book is not to be missed!
