First off, I'm sad that this is the last book of the series! That being said, I wanted to savor this book. However, it's like they say about a can of Pringles, once you pop you can't stop. That's how I am with Catherine Bybee's books! Also, I'm very excited about this book as I am a part of the blog tour to showcase this amazing book!
Gabi had me cracking up from the opening of this book. If you've read previous Weekday Brides books, she's a returning character. But Hunter... he's new and I loved him from the very beginning! He was in it to win it and I couldn't wait to learn more about him. The banter between the two of them is funny and interesting to watch.
The more we get to know Hunter, the more
And holy cow, the FEELS in this book. They're like this:
I just wanted to wrap myself around and in this book!
However, this is a Catherine Bybee book we're talking about here, and it's like when you watch a scary movie and the scary music starts playing so the viewer knows something bad is going to happen but the characters don't see it yet. Yeah, you can see it coming, but you don't know what. As you're reading, you hear the scary movie music and just know something bad is gonna happen! It keeps popping in to remind you, but it's not in your face. YET.
But the intensity of a situation in this book is REAL. Oh my goodness! Talk about edge of your seat. With it being a HEA, I wasn't too concerned, but I didn't want to put the book down especially when it reached the pivotal moment. EEEK!!
I thoroughly enjoyed how everyone from the series made appearances throughout the book and we see what is happening in their lives as well. It's bittersweet, sad, happy, loving... SO. MANY. EMOTIONS.
Catherine Bybee, you've knocked it out of the ballpark with this one. I do believe this is her best book yet! Such a great way to close this series chapter. <---- you like what I did there? I think I'm pretty punny!! ;)
Seriously, one-click this book!
