From the first page, this book had me enthralled. It was completely fascinating and I really enjoyed getting to know Luke and Clara/Rain. As Rain got closer and closer to Luke, I didn't want to put this book down! I had to know, what next?!
Clara, or Rain as Luke knows her, is an undercover agent and Luke is her target. She's good at her job and she can take on bad guys like a champ. So it's no big deal for her to go undercover with this job. However, Luke quickly pulls Rain under his spell and she has to fight hard not to fall for him. As she starts meeting new players in the car theft gang and getting to know Luke better, she has a hard time shutting off Rain and remembering she's Officer Bertelli. Can't say I blame her! Even though his uncle is into shady stuff, Luke isn't quite pulled into that yet and he has a good heart.
Luke is known by the FBI as a key player in Rust's car theft ring, when in reality, he's slowly being let into that side of Rust's life. He wants to know more, or so he thinks. There is more than meets the eye with Luke and K.A. Tucker does a great job of slowly showing us, the reader, who he really is and the things he struggles with.
This book was FREAKING FANTASTIC! The more I read, the more I didn't want to put it down. It was such a well put together story and I felt bad for Rain as her feelings for Luke grew stronger, yet she knew it couldn't end well. I loved the things she did that made Luke realize she did care for him. And poor Luke went through so much.... I don't want to give anything away but DONT MISS THIS BOOK! Incredible. And the ending.... Gah! Soooo good!
