Lorelei James- Long Hard Ride

This was my first Lorelei James book and it was good.  It was different (for me) in that it was about rodeo cowboys but it was easy to enjoy this story.  I wasn't really sure about it at first, but the further into it I got, the more involved I got and wanted to see how things would play out.  There were some surprising relationships that came to light and it was disappointing how they were left in the book.  This story wasn't all sex as the description depicts, but the characters had depth to them and even though it was a big part, that's not all there was. And I enjoyed the friendships in this story. For Channing, her time with the rodeo was a big part in finding out who she was and what she wanted/needed.  She had a backbone and she was unexpected for the hot cowboy.  Colby was sex on a stick! Yum!  And he was surprised by his feelings towards Channing.  But they were just what the other needed. 

This story was sweeter than I expected and I would be interested in one day reading more in the series- get in my TBR line! Gemma's book is next in line and I would like to hear more of her story!
