Ok, can we talk about this book cover for a second!? I LOVE IT!!! Even without having read the book, I was drawn to it. It's so darn cute! But after having read it, it's perfect! Okay onto the book :) I was excited to get Abby and Bishop's story. No, not because her name is the same as mine LOL But holy feels, Batman! I was very quickly lost in Abby's return and her and Bishop's journey. This was a beautiful story and I was lost in my feels. Abby ran away after a traumatic event. But unfortunately, she made some terrible choices thinking that's what was needed at the time. However, she's back in Boggy Creek and trying to make things right. I adored the love these two had for each other, even when things got hard. If you're looking for a sweet second chance love story that will leave you with a nice book hangover, then one-click this gorgeous story!! You won't be disappointed.
The day I first laid eyes on Abby Boyer, I knew she was the one. The girl I would marry and spend the rest of my life with, and I vowed to do everything I could to make her happy.
There was just one problem, I couldn’t make her happy during one of the darkest moments of our marriage. No matter how hard I tried, my love for her wasn’t enough to make her stay.
I’ve spent the last two years of my life trying to forget how much I still loved her.
Wouldn’t you know it, now that I finally managed to move on, Abby shows back up in Boggy Creek. Out of the blue. Here to stay.
They say time heals all wounds—well, two years wasn’t enough time to cover up the scars of our broken past because I still feel the pain like it was yesterday. My wounds are still healing, and not even my love for Abby can fix us…but will that love allow me to forgive her and finally move on?
For best reading results, it is recommended you read the books in order. 1. The Butterfly Effect 2. Playing with Words 3. She's the One 4. Surrender to Me 5. Hearts in Motion 6. Looking for You
OH MY HEAVENS!! I think this was my favorite book from Catherine! Jax was an interesting character and I really enjoyed getting to know her. She's a tough nut and family life has her changing her plans and going back home to find out what's wrong. I so enjoyed how Jax and Andrew met. It was quite comical. But there was a definite chemistry between them once they began to talk. Jax had an unexpected opportunity to get to know her mom and they were actually able to converse. I enjoyed their family dynamics and that growing relationship. On the plus side was Andrew. These two worked really well together and I was completely lost in this story! I couldn't read it fast enough and I didn't want to put it down. Well done!! Dear reader, please don't miss out on this book! If you haven't started the series yet, I do recommend starting with Changing the Rules.
Family secrets and fresh romance collide in this heart-pounding Richter series installment by New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Catherine Bybee.
Jacqueline “Jax” Simon knows how to expose secrets: she’s a skilled operative with MacBain Security and Solutions. When Jax hears her parents are divorcing, she races to London to find out why. She’s determined to learn the truth, especially when her investigation uncovers why her parents sent her to Richter, the German military school that made her a fighter.
Andrew Craig collects Jax at Heathrow Airport as a favor. He’s heard she’s a handful, but he didn’t know she’s dangerously gorgeous too. His instant attraction could change his life…or end it.
Jax doesn’t want to fall for Andrew, but soon he’s worming his way into her life. Together, they infiltrate Richter to discover if it has returned to its covert purpose: training children to be spies and assassins and blackmailing parents to look the other way. As the attraction between the two intensifies, so do the secrets exploding all around them. How deadly are those secrets—and who will survive?
OOOH! I was excited to start this book and it did NOT disappoint! I was completely sucked in and enjoyed this ride J.T. Geissinger took us on! I loved Malek. He was a big, scary sociopath and Riley just couldn't help herself :) Clearly, their lives were on a different path but she definitely gave him a run for his money. He wasn't expecting her sassiness or stubbornness and yet, there was something about her that drew him to her. I loved their banter, the heat between them and how much he cared for her. I couldn't read this book fast enough and I HIGHLY recommend!
Excerpt
“Yeah. Oh—can I ask you a favor? Will you please not hurt him? Kieran, either. He’s the other bodyguard. The bigger one. They’re both really nice.” Malek stares at me in disbelief. “Sorry. Is that asking too much? It’s just that I’d never get over it if they got hurt because of me. They’re only trying to do their jobs.” After a moment, he says angrily, “You know who I am. You know what I do. Correct?” “Yes. I’ve been filled in on the particulars.” “And you’re lying there with my hand around your neck asking me not to hurt your bodyguards.” He says it like my sanity is in question. “I know it’s maybe a little unorthodox.” “No,” he says flatly. “Please?” He growls, “What the fuck is wrong with you?” “There’s no need to get testy.” “Testy?” “I’m just saying. You don’t have to get all mad about it.” Furious again, he glares at me, grinding his jaw and probably calculating how much pressure it will take to snap the brittle bird bones in my neck. Before he does, I say, “I also want to thank you for the rose you left me. That was really nice. I’ve never had a man bring me flowers before. I know it was only the one, and also you thought I was a captive prostitute at the time, but still. It was thoughtful. So thank you.” He stares at me with an expression somewhere between confusion and amazement, with a healthy dose of disgust on the side. “Now is probably a good time to remind you that I’m still the same person you left the rose for. So if you did kill me, you’d be killing her, too. Just a thought.” “Are you on drugs?” “Not at the moment, no. Why, do you have any?” “There’s something wrong with you. Mentally. Right?” That makes me laugh. “Oh, totally. I’ve got more than a few screws loose. At least that’s what my dad tells me. But he’s super uptight, zero imagination, so his opinion doesn’t really count. Not that he’s wrong, because he isn’t, but normies shouldn’t judge creatives. They just have no idea how we’re wired. Why are you looking at me like that?” “I’ve never had a conversation with an insane person before.” “Very funny.” “It wasn’t a joke.” “Ouch.” We stare at each other in silence. His hostile, mine hopeful. He still hasn’t murdered me, so things are looking up. “Malek?” “What.” He says it flatly. With dread. “Thank you for not killing me.” He says emphatically, “Don’t thank me yet.” “You’re still deciding?” “If only to get you to shut up, yes.” “In that case…” I make a zipper motion across my lips. He watches with outrage, astonishment, and absolute disbelief. “Actually, before I shut up, I also want to say that it was really sweet that you tried to save me from being a sex worker. I mean, what a gentleman! A gentleman killer who gives strangers big wads of cash in restrooms. You’re quite the puzzle, Mr. Ghost. Or is it just Ghost? I’m never sure how the nickname thing works, except between me and my sister, but that doesn’t count because my whole family is a little weird. I’ll just call you Malek, if that’s all right. Or Mal for short, since we’re such buds now, what with you breaking into my various bedrooms for midnight visits and all. Okay, I’m shutting up now. Here I go.” I press my lips together and gaze up at him, watching him struggle with dueling urges to cut off my air supply or break something over my head. Maybe he’s right about me being insane, because rather than terrifying, I find his indecision understandable. He’s not the first man I’ve driven to the brink of murder. He’s just the most capable of actually going through with it. “Oh, one more thing—” “I know a way to keep that mouth quiet,” he snaps. Then he kisses me.

I thought this book was SO FUN! A completely unique take on vampires and how these humans were engaging with one. This book held me completely captive and I didn’t want to put it down, even to sleep! I loved the banter between Oliver and Autumn. They have an immense dislike for one another and I was here for it! I couldn’t read this fast enough and I can’t recommend it enough! Do yourself a favor and grab this book today!!

With the winner receiving cash or immortality, it’s an enticing prize. But Autumn doesn’t expect to get that far, she just needs a change from her dull life. Falling for the hot vampire duke isn’t part of the plan.
Impoverished duke Oliver Gray desperately needs money to save his estate. When he’s offered the bachelor spot on Forever After, he has no choice but to accept. But there’s a catch—he must wear Victorian clothes and pretend he’d been hibernating for the last one hundred years.
Fine. He can don a top hat and fake clueless. But a feisty human with a smart mouth? That’s more than he bargained for, especially when something deep inside insists she’s his fated mate.
But Oliver and Autumn’s dreams of love and romance may be cut short when a killer takes out the contestants one-by-one. As the show’s finale nears, will they get their forever happily-ever-after?
I enjoyed going back to bliss and seeing what was in store for Lucy, Michael and Tyler. Tyler has loved Lucy for years unbeknownst to her and she has a thing for brooding men. Michael experienced a trauma and has steered clear of most people but there’s something about Lucy. I enjoyed their dynamics and the care they had for one another. Bliss is a quirky little town but I was happy to go back and I hoped that danger wasn’t lurking too close!
Shattered by the past
Michael Novak was a US Marshal with his whole life figured out. Right up until the woman he called partner betrayed him. He’s been hiding in Bliss, CO, trying to pull himself out of the darkness. The only bright light is Lucy Carson. Something about Trio’s favorite waitress calls to him, but he can’t trust his instincts anymore.
Yearning for the future
Lucy has loved Tyler since they were kids, but he never seemed to feel the same way. She worried she would never want a man the way she does Ty, and then Michael grumbled his way into her world. Beyond the broody exterior she sees a burning fire in his eyes, and she is drawn to that flame.
The time is finally right
Ty knows Lucy is the one for him, but Lucy wrote him off romantically long ago. If he could get her to see him in a different light, he knows she would realize that they’re perfect for each other. His obstacle is the town’s reclusive former lawman, Michael. But this is Bliss. A rival can turn into a partner for the right woman. And Lucy is definitely the right woman.
Ty approaches Michael with a plan to get Lucy between them. A bargain is made, and Lucy is their target. But Lucy is already in much more dangerous crosshairs. Murder has come to Bliss, and Lucy is at the center of the investigation.
I was excited to get this next book in this series. While Marcus isn't exactly like Matteo, he is a strong, alpha male who gets his way; and often! Missy isn't helpless, but she found herself in a bad situation. I enjoyed the banter and the chemistry between these two. I enjoyed how she gave him a run for his money. The emotions were palpable through the pages and I couldn't read this book fast enough!
Meet Melanie Moreland
New York Times/USA Today bestselling author Melanie Moreland, lives a happy and content life in a quiet area of Ontario with her beloved husband of thirty-plus years and their rescue cat, Amber. Nothing means more to her than her friends and family, and she cherishes every moment spent with them. While seriously addicted to coffee, and highly challenged with all things computer-related and technical, she relishes baking, cooking, and trying new recipes for people to sample. She loves to throw dinner parties, and also enjoys traveling, here and abroad, but finds coming home is always the best part of any trip. Melanie loves stories, especially paired with a good wine, and enjoys skydiving (free falling over a fleck of dust) extreme snowboarding (falling down stairs) and piloting her own helicopter (tripping over her own feet.) She's learned happily ever afters, even bumpy ones, are all in how you tell the story.
Jett is a bad boy and he has sunk to rock bottom. He needs help getting back to where he was and the one person who could help him, doesn't want to help him! Cassidy was burned by him years ago and doesn't want to do her brother this favor. But if things work out, then this could change her dead end career as well. I enjoyed the banter and the heat between this couple. While Cassidy had no intentions of jumping in Jett's bed, the chemistry between them was palpable. I enjoy a good second chance romance and I was here for this book! This was a fun, sweet and entertaining read.
I’m Jett St. John, A-list actor and infamous Hollywood bad boy. I’m in high demand with the ladies. And I always get what I want.
Until I hit rock bottom. Big, ugly crash and burn. Now, no director will work with me. I’m labeled DIFFICULT. Yeah, in all caps.
In order to resurrect my movie-star status, I gotta make changes. Starting with an image consultant. It’s BS, I know, but it’s part of a deal I made to turn my life around.
Cassidy is frigid, rigid, and super serious. Sure, she’s a total babe, but she’s not into me…at all. There’s no batting of her eyelashes, no flush to her cheeks. She’s all work and no play.
I call her The Ice Queen…until she starts to melt. Then, I call her mine. ________________
BEAUTIFUL DISASTER is a full-length, stand-alone Contemporary Romance. It’s an enemies-to-lovers story about a bad-boy, A-List actor and a determined image consultant. As in all of Stoni's novels, there's no cheating and a heartwarming HEA.
The quintessential question asked to every couple. And the answer is usually some bubbly, lovey dovey tale of being struck in the bum by Cupid’s arrow.
My meet cute (well not so meet cute) is slightly different. I was trolling a wealthy neighborhood in Beverly Hills, searching for someone to take me as their bride, you know, to make my arch nemesis jealous who consequently just fired me.
He was stomping around the block like some sort of gorgeous ogre, mumbling about a business deal gone wrong and attempting to finagle his way out of it.
And that’s when we bumped into each other.
There were no sparks.
Not even a hint of blossoming love.
But next thing I knew, I was scarfing down free chips and guac, listening to this man lay out all of his problems which led to his big ask . . . he wanted me to be his Vivian Ward, you know, from Pretty Woman--minus the frisky behavior.
We’re talking about living in a mansion, intimate double dates, and pretending we were head over heels in love . . . and engaged. Can you imagine?
The absolute audacity.
But people do crazy things when they’re desperate. And I reeked of desperation. So, I struck up a deal.
My one big mistake, though . . . big . . . HUGE? I accidentally fell for the incomparable Huxley Cane.
My Review
I was so excited for this read and it did NOT disappoint! I ADORE Meghan's writing and this book very quickly sucked me in. I was laughing out loud and could totally imagine all the things that were going on. Boy, did Huxley get himself into a pickle! Lottie was sassy and didn't let Hux get away with things. They were opposites and yet they fit well together. I ADORED this couple, couldn't read this book fast enough and I HIGHLY recommend!
