I was excited to get Kyle and MaeBe's story! They have an interesting past and the reader gets to see the start of things between them. MaeBe is stronger than Kyle realizes. He was looking out for her, but in the wrong sort of way. The Taggarts see her potential and offer to train her. She went from somewhat meek and unaware to trained and ready! Life has thrown that girl curve balls, but she makes the most of what she has. And she may not have biological family around her, but the Taggarts and other agents have become her family and she has embraced them. She's learning who she is and what she needs. I was excited to get this book from Lexi. Drake and Taylor have a chance meeting. The chemistry between them was off the charts. Their relationship started out quick and then suddenly things took a turn. Life changed them and when they reconnect, there's a lack of trust. But they chemistry couldn't be denied. They have to work together to accomplish a common goal. Drake used it to his advantage to pursue Taylor. I enjoyed their second chance romance and of course, we had drama. We had danger and a bad guy to figure out. I loved the twists and turns this story had! I love the relationships and sense of family this book held. Drake and Taylor have things to work out between them so the mission can be completed. But it was so much more than either expected. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend this one!

There was no way for her to deny the electricity between them. She wasn’t sure she even wanted to. That inner voice kept getting stronger.

I just love the town of Papillon! It’s so quirky and heartwarming. Major is a deputy in the small town. And Hollywood is coming. Major works, takes care of his dad and has been set up on many dates. His love life is not front and center, but he does date. Brynn is filming a movie and went to the bayou early to get a feel for the area and to catch her breath. Whew! I was excited to get Deke's story. Maddie is someone from his past and she finds herself in a bind and needing Deke's help. I was here for it! The mission she brought to Deke put them in close proximity, which they hadn't been in for years. I enjoyed their past and the fact they had a chance to get to know each other as adults. I was completely lost in this story and didn't want to put it down. It held me captivated and I loved the flow of Deke's and Maddie's story. This book had EVERYTHING! Danger, mystery, love, laugh out loud moments! I can't recommend this book enough.

I enjoyed going back to bliss and seeing what was in store for Lucy, Michael and Tyler. Tyler has loved Lucy for years unbeknownst to her and she has a thing for brooding men. Michael experienced a trauma and has steered clear of most people but there’s something about Lucy. I enjoyed their dynamics and the care they had for one another. Bliss is a quirky little town but I was happy to go back and I hoped that danger wasn’t lurking too close!

He's always loved Sylvie and when an opportunity arises to make her his, he jumps on the chance. I loved Rene and Sylvie's chemistry. They understood each other and had respect for each other. I liked how they had each other's backs. Their families supported them (well, the family that mattered) and it was hard to deny that chemistry they had. I couldn't read this book fast enough! Very enjoyable read and I definitely recommend!

Ooh! I loved this addition to the Master and Mercenaries world! David is his head in the books and oblivious kind of guy. However, when he has your attention, it's clear that's where his head is. Tessa knows her stuff and she knows how to keep people safe. But the chemistry between these two is INTENSE and while they have a working relationship, things get a little blurry! I was excited to start this new series with Lexi! I was very quickly lost in Noelle's plight. She might be a scientist and super smart, but this girl knows when things seem off. She needs some outside help! I loved how Hutch saw her and treated her. Not like she was broken but he saw the smart, strong woman she is. The chemistry between them is intense and the danger around them is real. This book wouldn't let me go until the very end! I couldn't read it fast enough. Don't let this book pass you by!

I was excited to go back to the Bayou and get Zep's story. Zep is aloof and has an interesting reputation around the parish, but Roxanne sees more than most people. The chemistry between them is a nice slow burn and I liked the uniqueness to their story. I liked how Roxie was an unexpectedly safe place for Zep. She was there for him and he for her. They were both independent people and they were a good fit for each other. They didn't try to take anything away from each other and they completely supported one another. I liked the dynamics between them and I loved the family around them. This was an enjoyable read and I didn't want to put this book down! Be sure not to miss this third book in this series!
