Erika Kelly - Truly, Madly, Deeply review

This book was so easy to get lost in! I absolutely loved it! I loved going back to Calamity Falls. If you've read other books in this series, you'll see people you know again. If it's new to you, welcome to Calamity! Grace isn't having a great day. She's learned some facts about her soon-to-be husband and cuts ties. Luckily for her, Jamie is able to offer some assistance to her. While Grace is close to her family, it was good for her to be away and take time for herself. The time in Calamity let her spread her wings and find her passion. It was fun watching her grow and do things that truly made her happy. If a grumpy, single dad happened to be nearby, that was an added bonus :) This book had me smiling and lost in ALL THE FEELS! Don't let this fantastic book pass you by. Grab your copy now.

What's the worst thing that can happen to a single dad trying to avoid temptation? Crossing paths with the sexy runaway bride who's looking to get as far away from her ex as possible.

When runaway bride Grace Giordano needs somewhere to regroup, groomsman Jaime Dupree offers her a guest house on his ranch. It’s no skin off his nose—she’s only in town a few days. Besides, between his daughter and his professional hockey team, he's got his hands full. Surely, their paths won't cross.

But when Grace gets the opportunity to run a food truck at the town’s annual music festival, she decides to stay all summer long. The singing baker’s a hit—at the festival and on the ranch.

Jaime might want to focus on his kid and his team, but the singing baker proves to be a mighty big distraction.

One he’s not sure he can resist.

Erika Kelly - Anywhere With You review

WOW!! I LOVED this book! Della had been a fan of Van Claybourne's for years. His lyrics got her through hard times and she felt his words. Being into poetry herself, she understood. The closest she had ever come to him was cleaning his vacation home. It was still exciting for her. But a fallen rear view mirror changed the trajectory of her life! This book gave me all the feels and I loved how it flowed. I loved the surprises this book held and I felt the emotions from these characters. HIGHLY recommend this book!

He’s a rock star, and she’s his biggest fan. Dreams come true all the time—why not for her?

For ten years, Della Swanson has swooned over Van Claybourne. His lyrics are deep, sensitive, and speak to her soul. She’s positive if they met, they’d have a true connection. So, when the opportunity to work in his mountain town comes up, she grabs it.

But when six months pass, and she still hasn’t run into him, she knows it’s time to head home and put the silly fantasy to rest. She’s ready to start a new chapter in her life. On her way to the airport, she comes upon a stranded tour bus. With her bedazzled tool kit, she’s able to get the band back on the road, but just before she leaves, the manager offers her a job as a personal assistant. He won’t tell her the name of the artist, but the salary is so impressive she doesn’t hesitate to sign on.

The moment she boards the bus, Della’s stunned to find she’s working for her teen idol. Only, Van’s not what he seems. He’s got major secrets only a handful of people know—and they’re mind-blowing.

The one thing that does turn out to be true: the connection she believed they’d share is real and more powerful than anything she could have imagined.

But will it last? Della’s willing to take the wild ride in order to find out.

Erika Kelly - The Deeper I Fall review

He's a rough and rugged hockey player. She's a posh British princess. To win an enormous inheritance, they're forced to live together.

This is not going to go well.

When his former hockey coach passes away, Declan Cadell is shocked to learn the man left him a cattle ranch. Well, not exactly. He's got a little hurdle to jump over first. He has to win a trivia contest against the man's estranged daughter. Oh, and there's a caveat: he's only in the running if he lives and works with the spoiled princess who blew off one of the greatest men he's ever known.

As if it wasn't hurtful enough that Seraphina Crutchley's biological father replaced her with a bunch of sweaty hockey boys, now he's forcing her to vie for her inheritance with one of them. Worse, the guy clearly can't stand her because if–no, when she wins the contest–she'll sell the land and return home to London. Why on earth would she keep a cattle ranch in Wyoming?

But Seraphina comes to learn the contest is about so much more than a ranch. It's about learning who her father was and why he stopped asking to see her. It's about falling in love...and finding the courage to fight for it.

My Review

I was completely lost in this wonderful story! I enjoyed the competition Phinny and Declan had to go through. While it was unexpected to each of them, Kurt knew what he was doing. The chemistry between them was palpable through the pages. I enjoyed the ease between them and how they were pulled toward one another. My heart went out to Phinny for all she was going through and I liked how Declan started to thaw towards her. And I couldn't wait to see how things would end up for everyone. I couldn't put this book down and I can't recommend it enough! Go grab your copy now!

Erika Kelly - You're Still the One review

WOW! WOW! WOW!  Welcome to all the feels! I ADORED Stella and Griffin's story. They had quite the past. The feelings between them and the chemistry had always been intense. And time didn't diminish that either. Stella loved hard and she was quick to protect those around her; even from herself. But she also grew up and learned things about herself. She grew more confident in who she was and her talents. I liked that she was a strong woman, but yet she was worried about her family. Yes, they had things to work on, but they were still family. And Griffin!... Mercy! Griffin was a good man! He had a good career and he was looking out for his buddy's son. Austin had maternal grandparents but they didn't want what was best for Austin and Griffin did. The struggle was real. And those grandparents were a doozy! But when Stella learned about said grandparents, she was there for Griffin. And while things took a turn neither one of them were expecting, Austin was still the one they were looking out for. I was completely lost in this book and didn't want to put it down. I FELT everything and I can't tell you how much I loved it. My words aren't good enough, but if you love a book you can get lost in and get hit with all the feels, then be sure not to let this book pass you by!

✔️ Hot, inked, motorcycle-riding hero
✔️ Sexy wedding planner with a whole lot of explaining to do
✔️Steamy, small town romance
✔️Second chance romance
✔️And lots and lots of make-up sex

When Stella Cavanaugh gets the chance to come home after a seven-year, self-imposed exile, she takes it. She was born to be a wedding planner, and she hopes creating her sister's wedding might just earn her the redemption she's been hoping for.

The only thing holding her back is the fear of running into Griffin James, the love of her life. Because she not only hurt her family, she destroyed their relationship. Burned it right to the ground. And she just doesn't know if she can bear to find out he's moved on. She sure hasn't.

Griffin James has a roommate. The fourteen-year-old's staying with him while his dad's on deployment. Sounds simple, but the boy's grandparents are looking for any excuse to pull him out of the clutches of the big, tattooed owner of a bike shop. If Griffin can just stay under their radar, everything should be fine.

But that's just not possible when Stella bursts into their lives. Her sparkly spirit, her big, splashy ideas, and her impulsiveness always lead to disaster. He knew that...but he couldn't resist her.

And now she's on the run again, because...

The very things they love about each other are also what tear them apart.

Erika Kelly - It Was Always You review

A Calamity Falls Novel #5
Release Date: February 13

He’s the bad boy quarterback, one scandal away from being traded.

She’s the squeaky-clean pop star with a morality clause hanging around her neck.

And they can’t keep their hands off each other.

Cassian Ellis fell in love with Gigi Cavanaugh when he was fourteen. But he couldn’t have her. His mentor — her dad — promised to take him out of detention and all the way to the pros. The price: stay away from his daughter.

But Gigi was embedded in his soul — there was no distancing himself from her. And, senior year in high school, in a moment of desperation when he couldn’t take all the want and love and lust, he ended things in the worst way possible.

Now, nine years later, he’s forced to do charity work to clean up his party boy image.

And guess who’s working right alongside him?

Gigi can't believe her bad luck. She's on the same Dreams Come True tour as Cassian Ellis. And, with the press recording their every move, she has to pretend to like the man who tore out her heart and stomped all over it.

But Cassian couldn’t be happier since he never stopped loving her. And he’s determined to win her back. Only, someone’s leaking photographs, and headlines about the bad boy quarterback corrupting the squeaky-clean pop star could sink both their dreams.

Can their love overcome all the world has put between them?

My Review
This was a sweet, emotional second chance love story! From an outsider's point of view, Cassian has been living the life. While he's famous, he's also had an infamous lifestyle. But in reality, things aren't as good as they seem. Gigi of all people, should understand this. Being a Lollipop isn't as grand as it seems. All things come back to the two of them and they find themselves having to face the past. I loved the emotions and feels in this book! I enjoyed how this couple had to face things and learn to move forward. Life wasn't easy and they had to work at it and work to be a couple. I was lost in this book and didn't want to leave Cassian and Gigi! Don't let this book pass you by!

My Review

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED this book! I literally couldn't read it fast enough and I didn't want to do anything (you know, like stop and eat) that took me away from it. Gray crashes into Knox's life and completely turns her world upside down. I loved seeing these old friends find their way back to each other and watching their adult relationship evolve. Gray wants to be there for Knox and support her. She always saw him for who he was and he knew he could be himself around her. She was there for him when they were growing up and she stands up for him now. They have to get to know each other again, but they have a past they can't forget. Some things are harder to let go than others. I enjoyed the support between the two of them and the respect they have for each other. They only want to help, not hinder. Gray is so sweet and caring and he gave me ALL.THE. FEELS. But the nefarious things happening made me SO MAD! I had to know what was going to happen. I enjoyed the way Erika lets the reader know SOMETHING is up, but doesn't give it all away. She hints at it, bit-by-bit. I love a good second-chance story and this one scooped me up and didn't let me go. I think this is my new favorite book in this series! Please don't let this book pass you by!

THE WORLD’S WORST BOYFRIEND

THE HEARTLESS BOYFRIEND

He went into freefall, like flying off the edge of a cliff and hoping like hell he landed on a patch of snow and not rock, but he forged ahead. He’d hidden the truth long enough. “I have loved you since I was six years old. Every second you spent holding Robert’s undeserving hand, every time you got into his truck and drove off with him, it felt like ripping my heart right out of my chest.”
Gray.” It was the most vulnerable he’d ever seen her, and it touched him.
“But now I’ve had you to myself, I can promise you that whatever I felt back then doesn’t come close to how I feel about you today. Do you understand what I’m telling you?”
“I think so.” Her voice came out light as dust.
But she didn’t trust it. “Then let me make it clearer. It’s more than liking you, which I do. I like your passion for your work, your drive and ambition. I like the way you are with Zach, Amelia, Callie and Delilah, the way you really listen to them. It’s also more than being attracted to you, which I am.” Anxiety covered him like a fog. Exposing himself to a woman who didn’t feel the same way…it could not turn out well. But like hell if he wouldn’t take his shot. “It’s that my cells are formatted for you. My heart…” How did he explain it? “My heart beats in rhythm with yours. I loved you as a boy, but as a man who’s spent time with you, kissed you…this is a whole other level. You might’ve imprinted on me as a kid, but you’re in my blood now. Whether you want me as a man or a business partner or as nothing more than a friend, I’m committed to you. To us.”
Beneath the wariness, the thrill of his message shimmered in her eyes. “I don’t know what to say.”
Then he’d stop talking and show her. Tipping her chin, he lowered his mouth to hers. He kissed gently, wanting her to feel how much he cared about her. But the minute her lips softened, parted, and he got a hint of wet heat, he licked inside, and that damn pounding in his blood to own this woman, body and soul, overtook him.
Her scent filled his senses, hurling him back in time to dry summer days when they’d hiked the Bowie Pass, after school in her trailer, laying side-by-side on her bed, feet braced against the wall, as they’d held stupid and hilarious conversations through her Etch-a-Sketch.
To the kiss in the hotel room, when she’d lost control and clung to him with desperation.
To the other night on the trampoline, her hips twisting, fingers pulling his hair. The sounds she’d made from his touch.
With the clatter of rain on the roof, he lost himself in the intimacy of the moment, the privacy…the seclusion. He deepened the kiss, his tongue searching for acquiescence…surrender.
Want me, Knox. Want me as much as I want you
Oh, dammit. He’d said it out loud, his voice, deep, growly, like a command.
Everything changed in that moment. She got up on her toes and threw her arms around his neck. “I do.” She pressed closer to him, her plump breasts on his chest, her hips shifting restlessly over his painful arousal. “God, Gray, of course I do.”
His body rejoicing in the invitation, he caressed down her slender back and over the rising slope of her bottom. When she gave a desperate moan, he lost it. Clutching those firm, round cheeks, he held her tightly to him, bending his knees slightly, and rocking up into the space between her legs.
With a wild look in her eyes, she wrenched her mouth away and said his name on a sigh. “I’ve never felt anything like this. It scares me, Gray. It scares me so much.”
“I got you. I swear…I got you.” Trust me.

My Review

OH WOW! I thought I loved the last book, but this one knocked it out of the park! I was completely captivated from the first page to the last. I devoured this read and couldn't put it down.  Will Bowie enjoys his life how it is.  He's not ready to be tied down by anyone.  But the toddler that lands in his life, Ruby, is just the sweetest little thing, EVER!!  And let me tell you... I LOOOOOOOOVED the way Erika wrote how she talked. I was able to picture this sweet little tot and could hear how she would say the things she did and it got me in the FEELS!
While Will's and Ruby's lives have taken a path neither one was prepared for, Delilah has also had her world turned upside down.  She is a trained chef and the competition and experience she will get from it has her moving to Calamity.  She moves to the unknown where she knows no one.  She's grown up with lots of siblings which means lots of nieces and nephews.  She's good with kids and knows how to be around them.  She's good for Ruby and she wants what's best for her.   Will wasn't looking for someone in his life, he's always been focused on his training and the next event. Both Ruby and Delilah come at a time when he should be hyper focused, but he starts to learn that there's more to life than the sport he loves.  I loved watching the way life started changing Will.  Both of the ladies in his life crack his armor, bit-by-bit.  This book is full of ALL. THE. FEELS. and I couldn't get enough of it!  I had an epic book hangover and miss my friends ... I could totally see myself being friends with Delilah!  While you don't HAVE to read The World's Worst Boyfriend first, I do recommend it because you'll get the backstory and learn about Calamity and the Bowie family.  Just telling you about this book has me ready to go back and do a reread already!  Do yourself a favor and grab this book. It's one not to be missed!

EXCERPT

As the warm water rushed over her soapy hands, Delilah thought about her immediate reaction to Will’s question about whether she’d leave if her family gave her the restaurant back, the way her heart had seized. It would mean the world to have them believe in her enough to support her franchise.
At the same time, though, she’d had a stab of fear. She didn’t want to leave Will and his sister, the competition, and this sprawling ranch filled with ice-cold creeks and wild animals, cabins, trails, and teal-colored lakes.
These feelings for Will…she couldn’t explain it. He wasn’t her type, and yet she wanted to spend every damn minute with himAnd that kiss in the hydroponic farm?
She’d never had a kiss like that. Something so electric, so erotic. It had uncorked this desperate need for more. It wasn’t just exciting to kiss in the hallway outside the tasting kitchen…it had called on something deep, primal. Him.
Mine.
She’d had this crazy feeling like, if she didn’t get closer to him, meld with him, she would combust.
Shutting off the faucet, she reached for a clean dish towel.
No question, Will was an intimidating man. His energy bristled with purpose, and he didn’t waste a single moment, word, or calorie. Everywhere he went, people stopped and watched him. It was almost comical when someone froze in the middle of licking an ice cream cone to take him in. Women eyed him with want and possession; men eyed him with awe and envy.
But nobody saw those moments when he held his sister and agonized over whether he was doing right by her. No one saw him curled up in her bed reading books, as she bounced Squawk in her lap.
And the way he looks at me? That carnal hunger—the promise of what he’d do to her body if they were alone—Glory be—it sent a direct hit to her heart, making her giddy.
She liked him, for sure. But that kiss made her realize she more than liked him.
God, she had to have him. Just had to.

Six years ago Fin Bowie made a decision that cost him the love of his life. Now his ex is coming back to town for her brother's wedding, and he can finally make things right. Except, right before the event, a text he sent goes viral. Overnight, he becomes an international meme. And it's hard to win your woman back when the whole world's calling you The World's Worst Boyfriend.

The last thing on Calliope Bell's mind is getting back with Fin. Not when her life's just gone sideways, forcing her to spend the summer in Calamity, Wyoming. She can't be away from the New York art world this long, so she comes up with the idea to turn the hottest pop culture event of the moment into a museum exhibition.

The two have every intention of avoiding each other--until the county judge sentences Fin to community service...helping her exploit the meme he's trying to make go away.

Erika Kelly - The World's Worst Boyfriend review and excerpt

From award-winning author Erika Kelly comes her brand new, smoking hot series about four elite athlete brothers raised in the Tetons by their eccentric, billionaire dad and uncle, The Bad Boyfriend Series! Don’t miss your chance to meet the sexy and extreme Fin Bowie in THE WORLD’S WORST BOYFRIEND! Order your copy today!

She’d thought her inability to let him go meant she was weak, but it had never been as simple as missing him—missing the habit of him. No, he was embedded in her. And she knew that because being in his arms felt exactly like coming home after living out of a suitcase and sleeping on strange, uncomfortable mattresses for far too long.
A strong hand cupped her chin, aligning their mouths. That first hit of contact—the heat and indescribable softness of his tongue—made her blood sizzle. His hands swept down her back, cupping her ass, and pressing her hard against him.
He kissed her deeply, lavishly, like he thought she might leave and he had to get in as much of her as he could. And that drove her wild. His possessive grip told her he wanted her with every fiber of his being. The same way she wanted him.
Her heart pounded so furiously it hurt, and she needed to feel him everywhere. She ran her fingers through his scruff, cupped the back of his neck, and rocked her hips against him. Desperation clawed at her, the need to get closer, deeper, be swallowed up so they could finally join with their whole bodies and souls.
His hand pushed under the elastic waistband of her leggings and gripped her bare ass.
“You better want this, wild thing.” The growl in his voice set her on fire. “Tell me right the fuck now.”
Her blood raced so fast she could hardly find the breath to speak, but he wouldn’t touch her until she answered, so she pushed out a, Yes.

My Review

Oh man! There is A LOT happening in this story! Callie comes back home for her brother's wedding and it's a place she has avoided like the plague.  She has made up excuses to stay away because she knows her first love, Fin Bowie, still lives in the small town.  Callie is still on the search to find herself and she soon finds herself staying in Calamity, helping her family.  She and Fin never had closure.  He doesn't want to let Callie go.  They had something special and he wants to remind her. However, Fin Bowie does something that takes on a life of it's own.  When Callie finds herself staying in Calamity, she uses her degree to bring something to others out of what Fin did.  Her time with the world's worst boyfriend wasn't all bad.  I enjoyed seeing both Fin and Callie grow up and mature over the course of that summer.  Their love was strong and powerful and I was captivated by their journey. It was a book I had trouble putting down. Be sure to grab your copy today!

EXCERPT

About Erika Kelly: Award-winning author Erika Kelly has been spinning romantic tales all her life--she just didn't know it. Over three decades she's written poems, screenplays, plays, short stories, and all kinds of women's fiction novels. Married to the love of her life and raising four children, she's lived in two countries and seven states, but give her pen and paper, a stack of good books, and a steaming mug of vanilla chai latte and she can make her home anywhere.
