My Review:
This book was such a sweet, sad and redeeming story from the fabulous Jennifer Probst! I really liked how the beginning of this book started with Raven's experience as a child, then opened up to how the brothers got to where they are today and her life. It was a summary of the first book in the series, so it would allow someone to read this book without having read the other first. But in my case, it triggered my memory as to the details of the last book since I hadn't read it recently.
Dalton was the baby of the family. His brothers didn't take him seriously and he was the one who struggled the most from his loss of their mom. He may have had a different vibe than his brothers, but when it came to working and working with wood, he was passionate and hardworking and had a vision. He brought wood to life and his clients were always pleased, even if it's not what they first expected. He loved working with wood and he enjoyed a woman's presence but he never let himself fall for a woman. Raven got under his skin. She didn't fall at his feet and she gave it as good as she got! She gave him a run for his money! He didn't know what to expect with her and their sexual tension was off the charts hot! As a reader, I was entranced by them and couldn't wait to see what happened with their encounters. And I must say, I totally have a girl crush on Raven! She's one badass chick! She doesn't let anyone stop her and she's smart, sexy and even though she doesn't wear her heart on her sleeve, she feels and stands up for those she cares for. She tries her hardest to not let Dalton get to her, but he manages to weasel his way under her skin. Even though she knows their past and doesn't WANT to start anything with him, their banter and sexual tension gets to her. They had an ease to them and they gravitated toward each other. They both were strong in their own rights, but together they were AMAZING! They helped each other move on from the past and they had to fight for each other. I LOVED this book and never wanted it to end. Another fantastic read from Jennifer!
