Zara Cox - I, Pornstar review

I, Porn Star by Zara Cox

Date of Publication: March 14, 2016

My name is Quinn Blackwood: By day, I'm a billionaire CEO. Rich. Entitled.

By night, I'm the exclusive porn star only known as Q.

Why? Because I love women. If I believed in an almighty being, I'd thank him for creating them. They're by far his most perfect creation… especially when I'm fucking one of them.

Oh, did I mention I'm an asshole? Fuck yeah. According to my shrink, I'm one twisted motherfucker. And that's just the way I like it. Until she walks into my life…

My name is Elyse Gilbert, nicknamed ‘Lucky' because according to my dad, I'm the unluckiest person alive, and I'll die the same way I came into the world: naked, screaming, and dirt poor.

Yeah, my life is a twisted, seething mess. But that life changed the day I met HIM.

He made me forget the cameras.

He made me forget I was doing this for the money.

He made me forget my shame.

He made me forget everything. I was consumed by him. Only him.

But now my past has caught up with me.

My Review:

Wow!  This book totally had me sucked in from the very beginning. The mental game was WHEW! I wanted to know WHY Q was the way that he was.  It was very interesting getting sucked up into his world!  Holy cow.  I wasn't sure why things were happening the way they were but I couldn't get enough! The writing pulled me in and wouldn't let go!

I wanted to know Quinn and find out what made him tick.  He was warring with himself and it was a constant struggle and I wanted to know the man underneath the mask.  He was a man of many layers and more than met the eye.  There was a reason for the things he was doing and he would allude to that in his conversations with Fionnella.  There was a definite end game but I didn't quite see that one coming!

And Elyse did what she had to do to stay alive.  Her past was constantly on her heels and she had to make sure she stayed 2 steps ahead.  She was hiding something and knew it had to stay that way.  We saw her past slowly unfold throughout the story.  She was on high alert, until she met Q.  She was also drawn to Quinn and yet, knew it was dangerous.  She couldn't stop herself from doing as he said.

Lucky knew what was at stake and couldn't turn away from the opportunity to rid herself of her past.  She grew up living the lifestyle and knew she could do it this time. However, Q was different from anyone she had ever met.  She was drawn to him and he excited her in ways no one else had.  She would do whatever he asked.  She knew she was also drawn to Quinn, but there was something about Q that didn't want to let him go either.

This book was quite the journey, a little exhausting from all the back and forth, quite HOT and unputdownable!  It was different than most books I've read, but there was still a sweetness, a love underneath all the turbulence.   This is definitely not your typical HEA but it was enjoyable and I would recommend it. I will be reading more from Zara Cox!
