Derek was in a dark place after losing his limb and then he received medical leave from the Navy. He was trying to move on from Remy, but even 60 days away from her, she was still in his head. (And I loved the random job he got!) Remy was heartbroken after leaving Derek, but she knew it was the right thing for her to do. So, she was in St. Helena, working on her pastry degree. I found it interesting that most of the steamy scenes from these two were ones they kept looking back on. And when they saw each other for the first time, Derek was quite funny. It totally threw him for a loop and he didn't know what to do. I enjoyed the banter between them and watching them move on from the past. It was sweet, endearing and a fast read and I want more!
