Jessica Lemmon - Shut Up and Kiss Me

I was so excited to receive a copy of this book that I accidentally put the wrong date in my calendar and read it waaaaaaaaaaaaaay ahead of the time that I was supposed to, so good thing I can schedule a post to go live for a future date!  Silly me!  But I read this book in 1 day because it was THAT good! This book is the 2nd in the series but you don't have to have read book 1 for it to make sense.  You can see my review for Fighting For Devlin here.  That being said, this book took off immediately and I enjoyed how each chapter flipped from both Cade and Tasha's point of view.

Cade's life wasn't what he wanted it to be and he was mad and frustrated.  In comes Tasha. She's waiting for Cade to WANT to make a change and get his words back.  She soon realizes what will get Cade on the right path and throws caution to the wind.  I enjoyed their banter (which was sometimes just her talking) but watching their relationship grow and evolve was captivating and exciting and WHOA, THE FEELS!  I couldn't devour this book fast enough and LOVED getting lost in Cade and Tasha's world.  It wasn't always happy but it was realistic and easy to get lost in.

I LOVE Jessica Lemmon's writing style and adored this story. I can't express enough how much I recommend this and all her books! RUN! Preorder your copy now!

*ARC received from NetGalley for my honest review*

Hailed by Katee Robert as “an author to keep your eye on,” Jessica Lemmon brings her heartfelt storytelling to a sizzling novel about a steamy kiss—and a relationship that only gets hotter from there.

Cade: I tried. I really tried. I should be out of this small town by now, finishing my law degree and partnering up with my buddies, but I couldn’t resist one last street race. Now I’m sidelined in the hospital, and while my injuries will heal, I’m not so sure my voice will return. What kind of attorney can’t talk? Yeah, exactly. I’m afraid that I won’t be able to come back from this . . . until Tasha Montgomery reawakens every competitive bone in my body.

Tasha: I nearly watched Cade Wilson die on that lonely stretch of road. He’s damn lucky just to be alive, even if he doesn’t realize it. I know he’s destined for bigger and better things, but I don’t mind helping him get there as he relearns everything he took for granted. Cade’s a good student, a real perfectionist; I can tell how much his stutter bothers him. But when he lets his kisses do the talking, everything else disappears. And one day, maybe he’ll be able to tell me that he wants me—as much as I want him.

Praise for Jessica Lemmon
