Samantha Chase - Kiss the Girl review

Kiss the Girl by Samantha Chase is now live!

Savannah James is no stranger to heartache and loss. It wasn't enough to lose two sets of parents, now she's losing the only person she has left. Escorting Cash Coleman back to Magnolia Sound so he can say goodbye to his family is a no brainer if it means she gets to spend whatever time he has left with him. Once he's gone, it's back to her lonely life in Seattle. At least, that's what she thought would happen before she met Cash's family—and his youngest son.

When it comes to his father, Jackson Coleman isn't short on anger. So when the old man comes back to Magnolia Sound to say goodbye, he's determined not to care. But with Cash comes Savannah, and Jackson starts to question everything he's ever thought about his father—like why was he able to be a parent to a friend's daughter when he couldn't even be there for his own sons? As much as Savannah represents everything he resents about Cash, he also can't deny the intense attraction he feels for her.

After a lifetime of being left behind, Savannah finally found the one person she wants to stay. But in order to have a chance at a happily ever after with Jackson, she'll have to fight every instinct she has to not get attached.

My Review
Ok, I'm late to the Magnolia Sound party, but I'm glad I got a chance to read this book (and I'll go back and start at the beginning). I didn't feel lost and I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Savannah and Cash are back in Cash's hometown. She's helping him plan for his goodbyes and is there for him, as he's been for her. There's a lot of hurt and anger in his past but his loved ones are able to hash things out with him and get the time to say what's needed. Doesn't hurt that Savannah meets a good guy along the way! Cash is there to remind her not to run. This book brought ALL. THE. FEELS. and I truly didn't want to put it down. The romance was sweet and perfect for Savannah. Jackson and his brothers are a good group of men and I enjoyed seeing them mend things and come together as a family. The Colemans are good about enveloping those around them with love and support. I enjoyed the comradery the brothers had, as well as the rest of the extended family. I felt like part of their group. I didn't want this book to be over! Well done, Samantha Chase!

She released her debut novel in 2011 and currently has more than seventy titles under her belt - including THE CHRISTMAS COTTAGE which was a Hallmark Christmas movie in 2017! She's a Disney enthusiast who still happily listens to 80's rock. When she's not working on a new story, she spends her time reading romances, playing way too many games of Solitaire on Facebook, wearing a tiara while playing with her sassy pug Maylene...oh, and spending time with her husband of 30 years and their two sons in Wake Forest, North Carolina.
