I'm pretty sure this book is my favorite so far in this series! While I absolutely LOVED Patrick and his story, this book was raw, gritty and so emotional. I was completely sucked into the HSC world and Megan and Ryan's story. Megan is a badass and had to endure a lot in her childhood. But despite all of that, she is a strong, independent woman. Reader beware, you too will have a girl crush on her!
I enjoyed how Katana told Megan and Shannon's pasts, as well as Ryan's, and intertwined it with the things currently happening in their world. Megan was the epitome of big sister and hid a lot of things from Shannon. As the story develops, Shannon learns of the past and things explode in a big way! Their lives have revolved around the Harrison Street Crew and while Megan thrived in that world, Shannon did not. They are opposites, but their love for each other was strong.
Ryan has done things for HSC that others do not. He is a natural protector though and he's always been looking out for Megan. Because he knew her dad, he also didn't want to cross that line. However, the chemistry between them is thick and the reader can feel their passion through the pages. He's impressed with Megan and also wants to uphold the promise he made to her ten years ago. Things don't happen the way he envisioned them or wanted them to and things get a little dicey. However, no matter what, he had Megan's back.
I also loved the animal aspect that popped up in this book. CUE THE CUTENESS! haha. I don't want to spoil anything for you reader, but I enjoy Katana's animals in her books! I love the realness this gives her characters. This story easily hooked me and didn't want to let go. I now have a lovely book hangover thanks to Katana! But isn't that what we readers want?! I HIGHLY recommend this book and this whole series. I do recommend you reading Ex-Con and Outlaw first, but I hope you will love them as well! Fast paced, action books that will suck you in! When Katana Collins was younger and stole her mother’s
Harlequins to read beneath the covers with a flashlight, she wanted to read
about the tough as nails heroine. The perfectly imperfect girl with quirks and

Forget the knight on a white horse… she wanted the bad boy on a motorcycle.
So, now, she writes those romance novels she craved to see

penned her first romance novel back in 2012 and now, a few years later, she is
