MY REVIEW:

Ohhhh man... THE FEELS in this book!  Totally had me.  Katana has a way with words and from the beginning I was hooked in Shelby and Tate's world. Their story was realistic, sweet, fun and enjoyable.  It was easy to get lost in their story.  

The way Shelby and Tate met was funny and he was endearing even when he was being a jackass! He couldn't ignore his attraction and the pull toward Shelby. He kept wearing her down until she couldn't say no.  Can't blame her, I couldn't have said no to him either!  He hadn't felt for someone in a long time and he couldn't deny his feelings for Shelby.  Of course, that puts them in a precarious place because he wasn't expecting to feel that way about anyone.  Shelby doesn't trust easily but when she does, she's all in.  Well, tries to be. She has a sad and lonely past that sometimes gets in her way.  Their struggle was sweet, as they moved past various struggles together and sometimes you think you know someone, then incorrect information is given and they do an about face.  I was completely captivated in their journey and found myself crying at the end. To me, that's the work of a great author and a great book! HIGHLY recommend this book!  And if you've never read Katana Collins before, check out her other books as well!

A little mid-year musings

So, I was thinking the other day.  I know, scary, right? I haven't had the time to read as much as I did at this point last year (but that's totally okay) however, I haven't read a single terrible book.  Not that I would expect to, but seriously, most of the books I've read this year have been 4 or 5 stars to me.  Granted, I don't rate them that way here on the blog, but I do review in other places (Goodreads and Amazon for example).  But I have been blessed with books I ADORE! Obviously, some more than others (as with anything) but there's not one that I can say, "Ugh, that book? No."  I realize there are 564564895456475 gazillion books out there and I'm only offering you a selection, but so far this year, I would read (or have read) multiple books from each of these authors.  And a lot of these books have future books coming, so I have them on my radar to check out.  And my blog keeps me so busy, I have another MILLION books on my TBR list that I can't get to.  But I love the opportunity to pass along such great books to you, that I can't always say no, so both my blogging list and my personal TBR list GROW AND GROW!  And even though I can't read my personal TBR's in a timely manner, I still have a serious one-click problem.  Like, ridiculous. Anyone feel me?


I tend to stay in the same genre (but not always) but I always appreciate each book I read. The authors put their heart and soul into their books and maybe if it's not one that strikes my fancy, it WILL be one to strike yours. But I hope my reviews help you find books that you love, or authors to love that maybe you didn't know about otherwise!  And to my fellow readers out there, do you have a favorite author/book that I don't know about? My Review:

Whew boy! What. A. Ride.  I thoroughly enjoyed this series and this last book was KILLER! This book begins at the last scene from book 2, but from Olivia's perspective, which is a nice touch. We see her reaction to what Noah was thinking about doing.  Again, as with the last books, I like how the chapters flip back and forth between their POVs.  Of course Olivia needs some space, but Noah knows just the thing to get her back and work on their relationship.  And Olivia knows just the thing to help their business.  These two are a great duo and you (the reader) can't help but cheer them on! Kendall Ryan writes in such a way that you are excited for and with the characters as things happen for them.  I read this book in 1 sitting because I HAD to find out how this would end and what would happen for them.  I LOVED it! They are sweet and adorable and I might have a thing for Noah. Back off, because I've claimed him first! haha.   This is a fantastic series and i highly recommend them!

Tabitha Lord - Horizon review

This is a new and a new-to-me author and I really enjoyed her book.  I don't read fantasy/sci-fi very often but a book blurb has to grab me to make me want to read it.  This one did and it didn't disappoint! I was immediately captured in the world of Caeli and Derek.  (By the way, her name is pronounced Kaylee, in case you wondered!) There is a bit of romance in this book (YAY!) and it was very interesting and captivating.  I loved getting to read the book from each of their perspectives but also seeing their worlds through their eyes.  Even though it's obviously not real, it felt realistic and it was easy to picture through Tabitha's words. I found myself cheering them on in the missions and on the edge of my seat, so much so that I couldn't put this book down. Obviously I don't pass along romance books to my dad, but when I enjoy a book and think he'll like it too, I make sure he knows about it.  In this case, I bought the kindle book for him. I think this is one both guys and gals can enjoy.  I hope there is more from this author in the future because I'm definitely IN to read books from her!  If you like getting lost in another world, I HIGHLY recommend this book!

About the Author:
