Blurb:
Sixty-four days in captivity. Sixty-four days to lose yourself—or find yourself. I’m Ava Donovan. I was abducted at the age of nineteen. I’m told I’m a survivor, but the truth is, I only survived because he saved me. Even when he kept me locked in that room—he saved me. Constantly wondering when and how you will die, that does something to you. To your mind. But what do you do when it does something to your heart? What do you do when the man holding you captive seems just as broken as you are, when his mere presence becomes a comfort you crave—when you love him even though you shouldn’t? You smile and tell yourself it’s okay because love has no morals. Sixty-four days in captivity gave me a love most people will never have and my freedom took it all away.

My Review:

Wow! This book was darker than I normally read, but I'm glad I took a chance on it.  It immediately sucked me in and I couldn't look away. The beginning of the story is brutal and oh-so-sad.  But we, the reader, see why Max is the way he is. That moment in time shaped him and his sister to the way they are now. From appearances, Ava has lived the life of luxury.  But she's had to endure a traumatic event in her life and she now finds herself living a new kind of terror.

Stevie J. Cole does such an amazing job of bringing the readers into the depths of Ava and Max's world.  Even though it feels so wrong, it also feels very right.  And you have to keep exploring to see where things go.  And by that I mean, YOU CAN'T STOP READING!  Holy cow! For real, this book captured me and wouldn't let me go.  I didn't want to love Max and feel for him and Ava, but I couldn't help myself.  There are so many twists and facets to this story that the reader won't want to miss a minute of it.  But it all makes sense, the more the reader learns about these characters and how their lives intertwine.  It's quite the roller coaster of emotions and the journey isn't like other books you've read.  That being said, know this is a dark story but it's worth the read.  I will be thinking of this story days later... it's not going to let me go for awhile!

Tyler Westbrook, better known as Johnny Depth, is taking the adult film industry by storm. With his playboy looks, it’s no surprise a few coworkers have attempted to take things off set and into the bedroom, but Tyler refuses to blur the lines between work and play…until the new assistant to the director walks in. Jemma Morgan was recently fired from a lead role on a kid’s TV show that was supposed to be her big break. Unable to get another acting gig, she's accepted a job in an industry she never expected to be a part of. Although she anticipates being shocked her first few days on set, nothing could prepare her for the moment she's asked to hold the reflector as her ex-boyfriend plows through a woman like a Kansas cornfield. In a world of butt-plugs, lube, and fake moans, is there a place for a second chance? Exes and some serious ohs…the term ex-rated just took on a whole new meaning.

REVIEW:

So this is my first Stevie J. Cole book and I didn't want to put it down! I wasn't sure what I was getting into with this story, but it was so much more than I expected.  Sure, the sex was hot, but it went deeper than that.  Tyler and Jemma both had some growing up to do.  This story isn't instalove, but it's about two people finding themselves back in each other's lives again.  Their story is maddening, laugh out loud funny, sweet, tender and delicious to watch unfold.  The fact they had a long  history made this book!  I was captured by their journey and I wanted them to pull through. At times the situations the characters find themselves in is hilarious and outrageous but it's definitely worth the read! This won't be my last Stevie J. Cole book. In fact, she's been on my radar for a minute, so I gladly jumped at the chance to review. Prepare to get sucked into Tyler and Jemma's story and not be able to get anything else done. Just go ahead and mark out the time you need to read it!
