Sloane Howell - Scored review
I really enjoyed this book! It was the follow-up story to Bossed. I enjoy Sloane's writing style. I think it's cool that a guy can write romance. I didn't think about that fact while reading, but just commenting here that I like it! :)
Matt is the client of and friend to Ethan. He was enamored by Kelsey from the beginning but she wants nothing to do with him. Athletes aren't her type. But Matt is bound and determined to change her mind. The banter between them is fun and oftentimes funny. Kelsey plays nice because he's friends with her best friend and her fiancee. But despite outward differences, they actually have a lot in common. I really enjoyed the things he did to make her believe him and to fall for him. He knew he couldn't lay everything out there for her to see, that he had to be careful around her. Their story had some unique twists and turns and was one that I couldn't put down! I definitely recommend this book! While you don't have to read Bossed first, I would recommend it!

He’s a player. But she’s about to score.
Opposites really do attract* as a sassy salesgirl turns a pro athlete’s life upside down in this supercharged standalone novel of seduction from the author of Bossed.
Kelsey: My mom would tell you I’m quite the catch, but since my last boyfriend, I haven’t been dating much. Maybe it’s my rocker style or my lack of filter that intimidates the boys. So I’m pleasantly surprised when Matt Stallworth waltzes into the indie record store where I work and gives as good he gets. Turns out Matt is a professional baseball player, which should mean he’s out of my league. But if he wants to hook up with me, he’s going to have to follow my rules.
Matt: After winning my MVP award, I learned that a guy can get used to having beautiful women practically throw themselves at you everywhere you turn. But everything changes the first time I see Kelsey Martin, and something just clicks. She’s hot, snarky, and whip-smart. I’ve got to see her again. Only problem is, she sees right through all my best moves. And I’m going to have to step up my game to convince Kelsey that I’m playing for keeps.
*And sexy times ensue—for mature audiences.

Sloane Howell - Bossed review
So this was my first Sloane Howell book, but definitely not my last! I really enjoyed it! I was immediately drawn into Ethan and Jenny's story. They had a rather unique first encounter and I loved their banter. I also enjoyed how the chapters flipped back and forth from their perspectives. The story line moved quickly and even brought me to tears at one point! It was an emotional read at various points and I loved the feels this book brought. I loved how strong of a character Jenny was and the qualities she got from being raised by a single dad. I liked her busting Ethan's balls when necessary! She wasn't the type he would have usually gone for, but he was drawn to Jenny. He liked the fact that she could stand up to him. Ethan found himself confused but thankfully he had his best friend, Matt, to help knock some sense in to him at times! The witty banter in this book was fun and the emotions these characters went through felt realistic. This was a story that was easy to get lost in and I look forward to reading more from Mr. Howell! Personally, I love reading romances from male authors because they put such a different spin on things and this author is definitely one to follow! Preorder your copy now!

He’s the boss. But she’s ready to take charge.
“Wonderfully witty and fresh, Bossed is a must-read for anyone who loves a sassy, modern heroine and an in-charge alpha hero.”—New York Times bestselling author Lauren Layne
Jenny: Job interviews are a bitch under the best of circumstances, but when your potential boss is the world’s biggest prick, that’s when you should simply walk away. It’s just that I need this job so badly—and I’m mesmerized by Ethan Mason’s piercing gaze. Men like him aren’t supposed to exist in real life. But under the tailored suits and GQ looks, Ethan simmers with barely restrained ambition. And no matter how hard I work to fight the attraction, I’m going to get burned.
Ethan: You don’t become a top agent without learning how to close a deal. I always get what—or who—I want, by staying cool and in command. Then Jenny Jackson walks into my office with her lush curves and “screw you” attitude and blows away my intentions of keeping things professional. All I can think about is exploring the perfect body hidden beneath those conservative clothes or shutting her saucy mouth with one hot kiss. Jenny’s worth breaking the rules over—if I can convince her to break the rules for me.
Advance praise for Bossed
