Carly Phillips - Love Me If You Dare review

I sooo enjoyed getting lost in Rafe and Sara's world! They were partners on the force, but their chemistry was a powerful thing.  Rafe was a good man and wasn't in a place to act on it, so he made it so they didn't have to fight it anymore.  But, when Sara calls asking for help, he's more than happy to do so.  Not only do they have a strong sexual chemistry, but they have a good working chemistry too. Not everyone experiences that and they work really well together. So, when things start going crazy and unexpected, they handled it the best way they knew how. Rafe shows a lot of restraint and he knows how to treat a lady.  Sara trusts him the most and knows he can be the most help to her.  They aren't working together due to work circumstances per se, but they personally help each other out.  And soon things heat up!
You know me, I don't like to tell you the story so that there is no need for you to read it, but I want my review to entice you to pick up a new book!  So, I'm watching what I say here. Their story was enjoyable, believable and I was on the edge of my seat with the sense of danger looming around the corner. I thought I had it figured out, but things were still a surprise as they unfolded!  I enjoyed Rafe's family, the small town and their friends (coworkers) to lovers relationship.  If you like your romance with a little action and mystery, then scoop this book up today! Another fantastic read from Carly!

When hostage negotiator Rafe Mancuso takes a bullet to save Sara Rios, his former partner, his actions make him a bona fide hero - and New York City's newest most eligible bachelor. Then Rafe admits that Sara is much more than just another woman he's rescued. Suddenly, a firestorm of gossip turns him into exactly what he doesn't want to be: the Bachelor Blog's newest hot topic. His only solution is to leave town and get himself out of the spotlight… and sexy, jaded Sara out of his mind.

NYPD officer Sara Rios has Rafe to thank for saving her life, and Rafe to blame for the media chaos surrounding her. She wants to throw herself back into duty at full throttle, but until her injuries heal, she's on leave and in search of her rescuer. From the moment she finds Rafe and meets his large, boisterous family, she's hooked. But mutual attraction doesn't always mean happily-ever-after, and these two have a long way to go to find their fairy-tale ending.
