Oh man, oh man! I freaking LOVED this book! I enjoyed how Gavin and Emma had silently and slowly been circling each other and eventually met! It was an interesting spin on things and set the story off nicely. Emma is just a nice girl, attracted to an insanely hot, arrogant, jerk! But she can't deny the pull he has on her. And Emma isn't the typical type Gavin would go for, but he doesn't want to see her walk away either, so he goes along with Cooper's plan. (I don't want to spoil the story for you so I won't tell you more and ruin it.)
Emma had lost some of herself with her ex and still hadn't completely found her voice yet. However, as much as Gavin infuriated and intimidated her, she wanted him. He seemed to know what it was she wanted and needed before she could. Gavin ordinarily wouldn't have given Emma much consideration, but the more he got to know her, the more he cared what she thought.
I enjoyed watching their relationship develop and become something more than they thought was possible. And while I adored Cooper and his sweetness and attentiveness, Gavin Kingsley has got it going on! He's the epitome of alpha male and it oozes off of him. I can't say I blame her AT. ALL! Kendall does a great job of bringing Emma and her readers through the feels in this book! I wanted to live in their world and knowing there is another book coming, should have known how this would end but OMG!!!! This ending, ya'll. KILLER!!!!! If you hate cliffhangers, wait until Dirty Little Promise releases, but otherwise, hang on, you're in for an amazing book! Serious book boyfriend and book hangover with this read! I HIGHLY recommend it!
