Kylie Scott - End of Story review

Man, this was a fun story to get lost in! It was a really unique premise. Lars and Susie know each other but through her ex. There was never a romantic relationship between them, but there's suddenly a divorce certificate. Hmmmm. Things get interesting! I liked the chemistry between Susie and Lars. Their friendship means something to each of them and has the opportunity to grow from there.  Lars is a dependable guy and trustworthy! I was cheering for them. Susie's last relationship does have an effect on the two of them. But she's not one to talk bad about others. I enjoyed the way the reader learns about he who shall not be named and what happened between them. Andi Arndt did a fantastic job of bringing these two characters to life! I love how she tells the story and it's easy to get lost in their journey! Be sure not to miss this read (or listen)!

New York Times bestselling sensation Kylie Scott’s sexy, smart and unconventional opposites-attract love story looks at what happens when fate refuses to give up on what’s meant to be…

When Susie Bowen inherits a charming fixer-upper from her aunt, she’s excited to start living her best HGTV life. But when she opens the door to find that her contractor is none other than her ex’s best friend, Lars—the same man who witnessed their humiliating public breakup six months ago—she isn’t exactly eager to have anyone around whose alliance is with the enemy. But beggars can’t be choosers, and the sooner the repairs are done, the sooner she can get back to embracing singledom.

Things go from awkward to unbelievable when Lars discovers a divorce certificate hidden in a wall and dated ten years in the future—with both their names on it. It couldn’t possibly be real…could it? As Susie and Lars work to unravel the document’s origins, the impossibility of a spark between them suddenly doesn’t seem so far-fetched. But would a relationship between them be doomed before it’s even begun?

Kylie Scott and Audrey Carlan - Love Under Quarantine

This was a cute read! Of course, since we're all under stay at home orders (or just coming out from such orders), this book was quite relevant. I could relate with Sadie being stuck at home and only having telephone conversation with family. Life wasn't too different for her since she was an author. The mask wearing, social distancing aspect was a scary part of it and you felt her apprehension. What she wasn't expecting was the good looking next door neighbor! Evan was hiding out in his friend's apartment, looking after his cat when the pandemic hit the city. He was in a rough head space, but he also appreciated the newfound friendship he had with his new neighbor. Sadie and Evan hit it off and the chemistry between them was palpable. But it was so much more. The majority of their relationship wasn't physical. And it was realistic. I really enjoyed getting lost in this read.

While the world is ravaged by a global pandemic, hotshot NFL running back Evan Sparks is locked in his own personal hell. With a career-ending scandal on his back, Evan hides out in his best friend’s empty San Francisco home, the full city shutdown locking him in a lonely twenty-story apartment in the sky.

Romance writer Sadie Walsh is having the worst case of writer’s block ever…until the incredible, muscular stranger staying next door gets her muse going strong. The pair of loners, never expecting to find a friend in all the madness, meet each day out on their balconies like a modern-day Romeo and Juliet.

Each new day brings unique challenges for the pair as they navigate the unknown and find solace together. They quickly figure out that as long as they have one another, they can handle anything.

Even falling in love under quarantine.

Writing together for the first time, New York Times bestselling authors Kylie Scott and Audrey Carlan team up to tell a story that not only is a beautiful escape during a trying time, but a true lesson on the power of humanity’s ability to survive. Through a sexy, hopeful, strangers-to-lovers romance, the authors prove with love, trust, and faith, we can conquer anything.

“Kylie Scott and Audrey Carlan weave a charming and witty romance into a confusing and stressful real-life scenario and the result is magic. Sexy, humorous and sweet, this is a quarantine must-read!” —Devney Perry, USA Today bestselling author

Kylie Scott - The Rich Boy review

Beck and Alice are quite the couple. The intense chemistry between them is felt throughout the pages! Things aren't as they seem and I was here for it all! The slow burn in this book was delicious. Beck is the cute busboy in the busy bar where Alice also works. They have been dancing around each other when suddenly, Beck has to go back home to Colorado. Alice could never have anticipated what was really going on in his life. She soon finds herself heading to Colorado and to be with the man she started falling for. Their romance was sweet, life around them was falling apart and completely NOT what Alice envisioned her life to be, but Beck was important to her. I enjoyed their whirlwind romance, Beck's life and how it ultimately affected Alice, and how she stood strong and true to herself through it all. This book was swoony and gave me all the FEELS! Be sure to grab your copy today!

I’m the type of girl who’s given up on fairy tales. So when Beck – the hot new busboy at work – starts flirting with me, I know better than to get my hopes up. Happily ever afters aren’t for the average. I learned that the hard way.

But how can I be expected to resist a man who can quote Austen, loves making me laugh, and seems to be everything hot and good in this world?

Only there’s so much more to him than that.
Billionaire playboy? Check.
Troubled soul? Check.
The owner of my heart, the man I’ve moved halfway across the country to be with, who’s laying the world at my feet in order to convince me to never leave? Check. Check. Check.

But nobody does complicated like the one percent.

This is not your everyday rags-to-riches, knight-in-shining armor whisking the poor girl off her feet kind of story. No, this is much messier.

Kylie Scott - Closer review

This was an action-packed, interesting read! While I’ve read other books from Kylie Scott, I haven’t read any of the Stage Dive series (they’ve been on my TBR list forever). I enjoyed this book and never felt lost. Mae is living her life and doing what she does best, which puts her in the spotlight. When she starts receiving disturbing items, she’s made to use a bodyguard. And hello! Mr. Hotness. I liked Mae’s fierceness and her unwillingness to cower. She knows she can’t stop living her life and it doesn’t hurt that the bodyguard is a sexy beast of a man. I was quickly lost in this book and was captivated by Mae and Ziggy’s story. The attraction is immediate and is a nice, slow burn.

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Kylie Scott comes a new story in her Stage Dive series…

When a stalker gets too close to plus-size model Mae Cooper, it’s time to hire some muscle.

Enter former military man turned executive protection officer Ziggy Thayer. Having spent years guarding billionaires, royalty, and rock n roll greats, he’s seen it all. From lavish parties through to every kind of excess.

There’s no reason some Instagram stylista should throw him off his game. Even if she does have the most dangerous curves he’s ever seen...

**Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you'll enjoy each one as much as we do.**

Kylie Scott - Lies review

WHOA! Talk about captivating read ... this book could seriously be a movie! I was completely consumed by it and didn't want to put it down. Betty thought she knew her fiance, but turns out, she had NO IDEA who he really is. Despite everything going on around them, she's still attracted to this stranger. I liked the fact that they had to get to know each other again. Betty starts to understand where Thom was coming from and some of it makes her mad, while the rest just makes sense. This was a fast-paced, action-packed read and I couldn't read it fast enough. I loved this book and the twists and turns it held! Be sure not to let this book pass you by!

Betty Dawsey knows that breaking things off with Thom Lange is for the best. He’s nice, but boring, and their relationship has lost its spark. But steady and predictable Thom, suddenly doesn’t seem so steady and predictable when their condo explodes and she’s kidnapped by a couple of crazies claiming that Thom isn’t who he says he is.

Thom is having a hellish week. Not only is he hunting a double agent, but his fiancĂ© dumped him, and thanks to his undercover life, she’s been kidnapped.

Turns out Thom is Operative Thom and he’s got more than a few secrets to share with Betty if he’s going to keep her alive. With both their lives on the line, their lackluster connection is suddenly replaced by an intense one. But in his line of work, feelings aren’t wanted or desired. Because feelings can be a lethal distraction.

“Whoa! I went into this book cold, and the first chapter blew me away. I was NOT expecting that! So of course I had to keep flipping pages late into the night! It was a great ride.” —Sarina Bowen, USA Today bestselling author

“If you’re in the mood for a fast paced, action-packed page-turner, look no further! Kylie Scott’s most thrilling romance to date…” —Natasha is a Book Junkie

"This was one wild ride that will have you laughing out loud!" —MissPetiteBrunetteBookBlog

“Forget about functioning as a responsible adult until you have finished the last chapter, you'll want to hide out and read what happens next with Betty and Thom…Lies gets 10 stars from me!” —A Book Lover’s Emporium Blog

“The characters, the emotions, the writing...everything was awesome! TRUST ME, IF MISSION IMPOSSIBLE AND YOUR FAV ROM COM HAD A BABY, LIES WOULD BE IT!” —PP’s Bookshelf

My Review

What would you do if you had the chance to start life over with a fresh start? Clem was the victim of a terrible attack and had no memory. She followed clues to find an ex-boyfriend, as she hoped to find out who the old Clem was. I enjoyed this story! I was lost in Clem and Ed’s world. It was bittersweet, sweet, scary and Kylie Scott pulled me into their world. I wanted to know about Clem and I was cheering on her newfound relationship with Ed. While those around her knew the history, Clem was searching for who she was now and getting to know people again. I thought it was well written and kept me on my toes. I loved listening to Andi Arndt tell Clem’s story and I highly recommend this listen!
