One Moment Please-front-size down
That awkward moment when an ER doctor has to inform you that you’re pregnant…with his baby. Three things Lynsey Jones knows about the hot doctor: he’s grouchy, an arrogant jerk, and strangely obsessed with pie. Three things Dr. Josh Richardson knows: he doesn’t talk about his past, he doesn’t do relationships, and the crazy girl in the hospital cafeteria who ate a fistful of French silk pie…is annoyingly irresistible. After a chance meetup at a bar and a heated cab ride together, things come to a head and now instead of hating each other, they’re horizontal in a bed. Three months later, the weird cafeteria stalker who crept out of Josh’s house like a thief in the night, winds up as his patient in the ER after her Tinder date from hell. The doctor is prepared to keep it cool and professional. That is until her bloodwork reveals she’s pregnant. What really throws him for a loop…is the surprise baby…is his.

Dr. Josh Richardson never wanted a family, but Lynsey's about to give him one. And if they have any hope of co-parenting, they need to learn how to co-habituate…and try not to kill or kiss each other in the process.

My Review

I was excited to get Lynsey and Dr. Dick's story! The chemistry between them was palpable, but they didn't succumb to it immediately. There was a nice build up and the push/pull between them was enjoyable. Yes, this couple did things a little backwards, but I enjoyed watching Lynsey slowly take over Josh's world. She also doesn't let him get away with anything and she stands up for herself. This story was swoony, sweet, frustrating and everything I love about a HEA! Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down. I devoured this book and was lost in Lynsey's story! If you like a story that makes you feel good, then be sure not to let this book pass you by!

The big snag: Sam and Maggie’s chemistry is hot enough to melt ice, which makes keeping their secret far more difficult than either expected.

Bearded Lumberjack in Hat holding a big Axe on Shoulder Review
I've been anxiously awaiting this book and let me tell you... it DID NOT disappoint! I was excited to get Miles’ best friend, Sam’s story.  Maggie came into his life unexpectedly and knocked him off his feet. He was immediately drawn to her and I found myself smiling to myself and laughing out loud at their meet cute.  They didn’t know each other but they were drawn to one another.  Poor Maggie had a rough go of it and was trying to prove something to her ex.  Sam got caught up in her pursuit.  Not that he was complaining! I enjoyed the ease they had with one another and when they put two-and-two together and learned who they were, they had to reevaluate some.  But Sam didn’t let that deter him from getting to know Maggie and spending time with her. Their story was sweet, sexy, fun and exciting.  I was so caught up in their story that I didn’t even highlight very many passages because I was loving it and totally in the moment! I also enjoyed the chapter titles, they were cute!  I think you’ll also fall for this book hook, line and sinker! Be sure not to miss out and grab your copy!
excerpt
“Maggie,” I state, my voice deep in warning. “Stop worrying about Sterling and live in this moment. We are in the middle of a hot spring, surrounded by rocks and mountains and snow and nature and…life. Your ex should be the last thing on your mind. You should be taking this all in.”
“I am taking it all in,” she snaps back defensively.
“But are you? Are you really?” I stare deep into her eyes, not in judgment but in understanding. “I know you have a plan, but sometimes plans need to be forgotten so you don’t miss out on life.” “Life? Like right now? With you?” she says the words slowly like each one is a sweet she’s tasting for the first time.
“Hell, maybe,” I reply, my voice growing deeper from the darkened look in her eye. “You seem busy living for a fictional future. Maybe it’s time to stop turning the pages for a bit.”
The corners of her lips twitch as she watches me for a breath. Her tongue darts out to wet her lips as she pulls her bottom one in with her teeth. She turns around to prop her arms on the rocks, her eyes taking in the scenery all around us. She exhales heavily and then turns to sit on her knees in front of me.
My eyes take in that luscious body of hers, curvy in all the right places and smooth like velvet. Leaning in until her face is only inches from mine, she says, “Kiss me, Sam.”
“What?” I ask with a laugh and pull away from her, assuming this must be her idea of a joke.
She bites her lip and narrows her eyes with determination. “Kiss me.”
“What are you doing?” I shift nervously in the water to put more space between us. I swear to God, the temperature of the water has just risen ten degrees.
Lifting her shoulders, she replies, “I’m living life in the moment.”
“But you want your ex back.” A fact she shouldn’t need to be reminded of.
“I do…someday.” Her eyes wander down to my chest. “But he’s not here tonight. And you’re a short-term kind of guy, and I’m a temporarily single girl. So why don’t we live in the moment right now…together?”
“You don’t want this,” I reply with a shake of the head, gulping down the contents of my glass in one swig. I set it down and hoist myself up on the edge of the rocks, needing some cool air to clear my head.
“I think I do,” she replies, lifting her brows at me. “I know I do. I’ve wanted it since the day we met.”
 “Bullshit.”
“It’s true. Why do you think I threw myself at you in your fishing hut, Sam?”
My body roars to life at that memory, of her body close to mine, of feeling her in my arms and tasting her perfect lips. Maggie could kiss. Even in her haste, she knew how to kiss.
Maggie moves closer to me like a tentative cub tracking its first prey. She kneels between my legs, and I tense when she runs her hands up the outside of my calves. “You’re a good guy, Sam. You may not be a long-term kind of guy, but that’s not what I’m looking for from you anyway.”
Her hands roll over my quads, shooting a zinger right up my groin to my cock. I reach down and grip her hands harshly to stop their movement. “What are you looking for exactly, Maggie? Be very fucking specific.”
Her long black lashes are wet from the steam as she looks up at me and quirks her brow as she replies. “I’m asking for no-strings fucking.”
“Jesus Christ,” I growl and have to force myself to look away from her. She looks way too fucking hot right now in that little black bikini, her breasts pressing together from the position of her hands on my thighs, and her blue eyes wide and innocent. My dick develops its own heartbeat as it presses into my board shorts.
How did this evening turn into Maggie seducing me? I’m fucking nine years older than her, for God’s sake. I should be the one seducing her. But all of a sudden, she’s the alluring bait dangling right in front of me, and I’m a fish who hasn’t eaten in weeks.
I look at her with pleading eyes. “Your brother will kill me.”
She smiles a sexy smile, that dimple in her cheek ever present. “Miles doesn’t need to know about my sex life.”

viral sensation
It all began when Daws went to Tires Tires Tires to get a new set of wheels on her car. She was suffering from writer’s block, but apparently the complimentary coffee and cookies cured her. So she decided to bring in cars of friends and family so she could keep writing in the magical waiting room. Her social media musings had her fans in stitches and it wasn't long before inspiration struck again. This time...Daws was to write a sexy romantic comedy about a romance novelist who sneaks into a tire shop and gets caught by a hot mechanic. You can imagine where the love story goes from here. Eventually, the little tire shop opened their arms to Daws, even putting her release date on their marquee sign outside. It wasn't long before Buzzfeed got wind of it. Then Scary Mommy. Then InspireMore and several other blogs with followers well into the millions. WGN News in Chicago, Fox 10 in Phoenix and Canada Public Radio are all talking about the adorable feel good story of how inspiration can strike in the strangest of places.

My Review

I was completely consumed by this book! I didn’t want to put it down. It was laugh out loud funny, ridiculously sweet and gave me the feels! I was quickly lost in Kate’s and Miles’ journey. Kate has found herself suffering from writers block and she finds her mojo in the customer care center in her local tire shop. The situation she finds herself in is quite hilarious and after being a follower of Amy Daws’ social media, Kate’s situation is eerily similar 😉 This was a fun, light-hearted read. I enjoyed the banter between these characters, the chemistry between them was palpable and I didn’t want this book to end! Great book to lose yourself (or a day) in! Be sure not to let this book pass you by!

excerpt
She slaps her hand on her knee and bellows gallantly, “But you know what, Miles, you’re right! I should totally find a random hookup tonight.”
“Whoa, I never said anything about random.”
“Well, you’re doing it, so why can’t I?”
I narrow my eyes. “You don’t seem like the random type.”
“Maybe I should be.” Her eyes narrow when she leans in and whispers against my lips. “Can I tell you a secret, Miles?”
“You can tell me anything, Mercedes.”
She giggles and crooks her finger for me to lean in even closer. I’m so close I can smell the faint scent of her cherry lip gloss, and it’s not helping the half boner having a party in my pants.
Her lips graze my ear when she whispers, “My writing makes me horny.”
I nearly choke on my beer. “I’m sorry, what?”
“My writing makes me horny.” She pulls back and nods her confirmation. “I’m serious. I have a sex toy that works really well and really fast, but I miss the heat of a man, ya know?”
My eyes scrunch together, and I rub my fingers in the sockets to make sure I’m awake and hearing this all correctly. “I mean…I don’t really ever miss the heat of man, so I don’t think I know exactly what you’re saying.”
“Fine, the heat of a woman.” She rolls her eyes dramatically “You know what I’m talking about. The heat.”
I frown and shake my head. “You’re going to have to elaborate because I think of a lot of things when I think of women, but their body temperature isn’t one of them.”
“You asked for it.” She laughs and leans in so she’s speaking low and soft and directly into my ear. “The heat of a woman is so much more than temperature. It’s the soft, sensual curves of the female form. The way your fingers dig into the meat of her thighs when she’s wrapped around you. Her smooth, sunken tummy when she’s on her back, the delicate bumps of her ribcage when she’s throwing her head back in pleasure. Tight little nipples in pillows of creamy softness. The fact that you could fold yourself around her and envelop her body almost entirely and still want more. You’re saying you don’t miss that kind of heat?”
I blink slowly, recovering from what just happened. Her voice was a sensual, verbal caress straight on my cock. Then there was the warm heat of her breath on my ear. The deep husk of her tone. The way her warm palm rests softly on my thigh.
Fucking hell.
