Carly Phillips - Dare to Take review

This book was SOOOO good!  Even though this was book 6 of the series, I didn't feel like I had missed anything by not having read books 1-5.  However, I now want to go back and read those in the correct order! As typical with Carly Phillips books, I adored this read!  I didn't want to put it down.

Tyler and Ella have a long history behind them and they also have some awkwardness between them.  When there is an emergency and a hurricane heading toward Ella, Tyler gets coerced into coming to her rescue but he's not at all prepared for what he finds and needs to do for her.   As they start to overcome their past, they work on the now.  Tyler has a few things in life he regrets, the way he reacted to Ella being one of them.  He has to learn and grow from his mistakes and realize things were not as bad as he thought.  Ella, too, has to overcome her past and learn to move forward.  It was enjoyable watching them grow and lean on each other in times of need. They were good for each other and this book had ALL THE FEELS!   It was easy to get lost in their story and I couldn't read it fast enough.  Very enjoyable!

A one night stand.
A secret.
A mistake they tried to forget.

On leave from the army, Tyler Dare was just looking for a little fun, but his sister's best friend is off limits. But unable to deny how sexy and alluring she is, he finds it all too easy to succumb to a night of passion and heat that ends the next morning in the worst way possible.

There are just some guys you don't touch--even someone as innocent and inexperienced as Ella Shaw knows that. But when her best friend's brother is up for grabs and willing, she can't resist. After all, she's wanted him for years…

Now, Ella is stranded on a tropical island with a hurricane bearing down, and only Tyler can save her. It's his chance to make amends for the past and show the woman he's never forgotten that he's coming after her . . . in more ways than one.
